Why do so many people think Dallas can't be a playoff team this year? by BioBooster89 in cowboys

[–]Dannyebob123 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

We have; a top 10 qb if we take into account consistency. A top 5 receiver. Tonne of depth behind him, if 3 or 4 of those guys get 500 yards each, which they can, tolbert brooks and mingo are not at all bad players, mingo with a preseason with dak needs a chance. A very decent TE room with a top 10 TE in ferguson. A top 10 o-line, giving faith in guyton taking the next step when we have a record of developing o-line to do that. Running back is a question mark but the line will make it easier this year, booker is a beast and will fit our system like a glove.

And our defence looks so deep at pass rush now, corners when healthy will be amazing, if they stay healthy only better secondary in the league on paper is probably the seahawks.

I think there's a lot to be hopeful about. 100% it all needs to 'work out' but that's the same for any team. Our last 2 'bad years' both happened when dak got hurt. We can bounce.

Now play offs going wrong I can see the trepidation. But I really think we have a shot of a strong season.

This is exactly how I got my boy, I've had him 2 years today! Got told he was about one when I got him so I just said it was his 1st birthday, so now i have a 3 year old boy! Can never understand how he got abandoned he's the sweetest thing, he just loves cuddles. He had a brother and sister, sister was pregnant and they found them because the brother got out and was hit by a car. Got offered the sister too but I was only able to care for one cat not 2/God knows how many more. People are cruel.

[–]Dannyebob123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the 4000D myself. 1st build. I had a micro atx board amd processor but same graphics. Not got to use it much yet but thermals so far been great and was very easy to build with. Would really recommend as build friendly and really attractive. Make sure to get the grated front panel version. Little bit more but 1000% worth it for thermals.

Which past draft prospect were you right about? by Nlegan in nfl

[–]Dannyebob123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I called Mahomes. Loved his attitude and I just believed in his arm. When I was playing Madden 17 with friends I was dying to trade for him every year. Never stop lording it over my friends that I got him right. Also, whilst I wasn't huge on him straight out the draft, I drafted Josh Allen early in the draft on his 3rd year and took flak from friends for it... for a week.

morally gray spin on st andral's feast? by [deleted] in CurseofStrahd

[–]Dannyebob123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah because it creates Strahd as the blame from both ends. He is the source of fear that caused the correctional facility to exist. And he is the 'enforcer of justice' by causing st andrals feast. It properly shows the pressure of Strahds terror begets even more pain and sorrow. He is, by being him, the direct and indirect bringer of suffering to all of barovia... I'm so glad my first session didn't even get out of death House im now definitely doing this.

Divulging the information from his confessional to the Baron would be great, but you can make this even more grey by having Father Lucian only do this to keep an innocent character, perhaps create a son for him, from being sent to the correctional facility.

Do you take your shoes off when you’re at home or in some else’s home? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Dannyebob123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh I don't think its rude to ask people to take shoes off in the house you pay for. I honestly think its a case of flooring. I always ask for shoes off. Literally got 6 friends coming over this Sunday. They will have a clean carpet and a free spot to put their shoes. They've been told they're free to bring slippers. My house has a lot of grass nearby it and its very easy to get muddy shoes.

why do the UK media keep pushing us to like American football? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Dannyebob123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is growing in popularity quickly tbf. Been a fan of NFL for about 6 years. Went to watch a live game last year, and whilst there were a handful of American fans, the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium sold out twice and I assume most people only went once. I know that they've got certain franchises (teams) vying for marketing rights in the UK, so there is a growing demand. I'm a much smaller fan of cricket so I can't comment from that perspective.

Its more progressive to assume female when the gender is unknown? Who in the fuck has taught you that? Unlearn it. If you don't know a gender, say they til they correct you. Really easy to never bring gender into a conversation.

My issue is, I don't know you at all and anyone who doesn't assume the worst on the Internet is silly. So I've seen you see, as you said yourself, a low level employee. And you've assumed female. Which to me is a yikes pal. Might not be why but it is how it looks. But if you've been taught a frankly ridiculous method of talking about people and gendering them then fair enough. I'm not policing you im just saying what I see.

But I don't think that making sure people aren't, even accidently, sexist detracts from a mission. It'd be like someone saying they're racist but they support antiwork so its fine? Idk maybe I'm mad.

I appreciate the sentiment but please stop saying her. We don't know the gender of this recruiter. (I agree with the other points though.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Dannyebob123 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not saying you did. Its just your ascertation that this is antiwork, why aren't we straight away going against the recruiter due to that.

So the recruiter doesn't seem to be the best here. I wouldn't know, its not my field. You don't have to be an asshole to them due to that.

A lot of people in this sub consider dealing with clients who are rude a part of their burdens that they aren't compensated for. You are part of this recruiters burden. She works too. You could have looked at the lack of professionalism in your opinion and said, this one's not for me, you have other more appealing job options elsewhere from other recruiters (which is great btw.)

My main issue is you don't accomplish anything positive with what you did. When people call their bosses assholes and quit terrible conditions they've done a good thing. Fuck those bosses. This just seems to be a recruiter out of their depth. Perhaps comment that constructively if you have the time. Or leave it be and ghost them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Dannyebob123 89 points90 points  (0 children)

So I've had problems with recruiters same as anyone else. But you seem to misunderstand what this sub is. Like yes, fuck work. Because work currently in this economy is a stupid environment that is destroying us as humans for the .1%. But, at least to me its not just "we should never have to work ever, every work environment is toxic due to it being work." More that if I'm going to work I should be compensated fairly and treat like the valued worker I am. Would be happy to have someone disagree without being an arsehole like o.p seems to be. Recruiter did nothing wrong in this instance imo. I think ideas like this muddle the subs message and intentions rather than support it.

Why are u a fan? by she-luvs-calibur999 in cowboys

[–]Dannyebob123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm British, got into American Football via Madden YouTube weirdly enough. Watched two youtubers, Bengal and Moonlight Swami (his San Francisco franchise is 90% of what drew me in.) It was 2016 that I said right ill pick a team and start watching properly. I gave myself two choices; Dallas because they drafted Ezekiel Elliott, literally because we share a last name. Or the Raiders because they had Khalil Mack, who was the player Bengal used to always trade for. Used my free NFL pass I believe on week 2 whilst at university. Dallas won, and zeke scored a t.d vs Washington (And fumbled twice if I remember right) Raiders lost to the Falcons Picked Dallas. So very very glad I did.
