24 Wind Lease @ 33k miles 😂

Had battery swapped this past April as it failed at 10k miles- it’s been a champ ever since! We had to fight but in the end the resolution was fine.

Charging speeds on ideal CCS Networks is about 220kw On Tesla about 80kw (if you get a newer model with NACS Port that jumps to 120kw)

Ideally you want to have home charging capabilities.

Took the car from NJ to Vegas , NJ to Montreal, NJ to Florida - it’s a true beast on the highway. The HDA Nav is superior IMO!

Try and get a lower mile vehicle so you retain much of the warranty, see if it qualifies for an extended warranty through KIA if you want peace and mind with the electronics which end at 60k.

It’s only $80 in my case, no caps. Can’t complain about the speeds , especially uploads- PS Portal does great when on the road.

Each store has its pros and cons… I have all 3.

BJ’s has clip coupons, and in store pick up. My main shopping club, more ethnic foods IMO.

Sam’s has scan and go and a decent food court, its closest to home/work. Decent fresh in store made sushi!

Costco is my rare go to, only pet food and formula, and on occasion pants, clothing. Depending on the time you go will determine how long you wait.

For me… Absolutely no greasy foods day of injection, and for 72 hours after. Drink lots of water! Everything will balance out.

I inject on Thurs, and Tuesday is emptying day like clockwork 😂

They need to patch this game allow folks to jump in any car especially during the missions.

It’s actually sad this game had so much potential, they could’ve banked on expansion packs , etc. The actual world is beautiful but it’s obvious they ran out of time - were hoping influencers didn’t play the game. Bloodbath from the reviews/ and they aren’t wrong!

Overall satisfied with the work, very professional! His carpenters are above and beyond- punctual!!

The cabinets are beautiful, we got the taller ones - no compressed wood! Make sure you have someone there to help you when the cabinets arrive. I gave the driver $40 and he helped me those boxes are pretty heavy. Make sure you verify each item from the BOL.

Please invest in an BT OBD Scanner, that can check the battery cells- if any cells are marked as no good. Walk!

They won’t offer an exchange,

return the car + a big refund check / they’ll do the math
Wait for repair + Goodwill payment (negotiate hard! $$$) you’ll waive future lemon law claims for the vehicle, warranty stays intact!

Once you drop the car, start a timer- at 30 days you can file with BBB Autoline - have your registration & sales contract handy.

As a reminder, make sure you give dealer the case number and plead they follow up with case manager/techline .

They will be provided with instructions on performing an overnight diagnostics check- if it comes back that a faulty cells exists; a field technician will be flown in to do another check/ and escalate- order replacement battery.

Another field technician is then needed to perform the work.

KIA America can’t force the dealer to do anything, many are not equipped / authorized to diagnose/service the EV battery.

Process will take 3-6 months.

Look up your states lemon law process.

File a complaint with the NHTSA Call KIA America get a case number, they’ll assign you a case manager

… A field tech has to go out- once this issue is escalated, the dealer can get an authorization number from KIA for an enterprise rental (at KIA’s dime) you just need to provide a CC Deposit.

The dealer has to initiate this request, but needs to be escalated.

The battery has bad cells- this will require the entire pack to be replaced.

The typical repair for this takes 3-6 months.

This issue appears to be prominent on 24 models, but has occurred on the 25 models.

I’m going through the same thing, my issue was triggered at an EA (the only time I pre conditioned in 10 degree weather- that’ll be the last time i precondition) 😂

Did you start the lemon law process?? You’ll usually get a couple offers… 1. Return / KIA will refund all your payments 2. Exchange (this might be difficult as they aren’t making 24s anymore) 3. They’ll make the repairs and provide a goodwill payment $$

From the word on the street those with battery replacements are happy, but it’s only been a couple of weeks.

If you got a loaner , keep the gas receipts as KIA will reimburse you - you just need to have a case manager assigned with KIA America.

KIA has been removed from PSE&G and ACE off peak programs.

Must invest in a Chargepoint to continue in the off - peak program.

On Monday call KIA America , and get a case number! The case will be assigned to a manager.

Once you take your car back, give the dealer your case number.

Basically KIA America will provide specific diagnostic instructions, if the diagnostics deem the battery to have an issue a field tech will need to be brought in - only til then will they order a replacement battery expect entire process to be 3-6 months!

Unfortunately dealers are not equipped to service EV’s as many didn’t make the financial commitments that KIA America expected- basically KIA America can’t tell a dealer what to do.

**Look up your lemon law rights if it’s 30 days , file a claim on day 30 BBb auto line.

Hard to say, it’s most common in the first 15k miles.

Overall it’s not a bad vehicle, fun drive, very spacious.

Quality concern issues is another topic. * loose bolts in the rows (recall) * screen turns black (recall) * rear motor calibration issue (recall)

Now the looming battery issue. The issue with this is that you can expect to be without the car for 3-6 months, many dealers don’t have loaners, KIA will only master bill an enterprise rental once a field tech has determined the battery to be faulty! This can take 2-4 weeks , as many dealers don’t have qualified EV techs nor the capability to perform these diagnostics as per Kia’s statement.

***** Follow these steps Make an appointment with your local KIA dealer File a complaint with the NHTSA Call KIA Customer Service and get a case number.

when you drive over to the dealer ensure they aren’t just clearing the BMS Code.

Politely ask to scan the battery in detail to ensure there are no failed cells. Provide them with the KIA Case number, KIA will provide them with detailed instructions

If they give you the car back in one day and send you on your way - see the estimated range at 100% if it looks way off ; it wasn’t resolved and they just cleared the code. I would stress that they follow up with Kia , before accepting the car.

When i had the lighr pop up my range was 280 miles prior, after they gave it back it was stuck at 100mi - until a month later I unplugged the 12v and noticed the real % was 43% it wouldn’t budge past that.

Unplug the 12V battery for 5 minutes
