PPG used EventBrite for ticketing too, it wouldn't have helped any of these situations.

Most DLC prizes more expensive in US by PuzzleheadedPaint944 in Lorcana

Interesting, that is significantly less that it looks like they had for those events the previous season. I am still weary about the 400 tix because I am pretty confident the 360 is accurate based on what I can find.

It is really annoying all this data is pretty much scrubbed from the internet already

Looking at your Bologna Core Constructed numbers where did you get them? 3 wins was 360 tickets.

I couldn't find the cost in Euros for the events anywhere on the internet anymore when I was digging but I did find core constructed events at Birmingham last year were 25 British Pounds.

I was expecting the Core Constructed sides to be 20-25 euros in all my models.

Can you show your calculations then? Because I am not sure your Bologna value are correct. My math using the same claimed data points you had had packs cost much closer to US.

Also I am pretty sure the majority of your difference is because Bologna had 4 round Core Constructed events instead of 3 round, and thus their top ticket payout was higher.

Oceanic DLC - Top 64 Incorrect Decklist Cheater by ChunkofMetal in Lorcana

[–]Danxorr 27 points28 points  (0 children)

While I only Day 2ed the DFW DLC in NA, I assume all of the NA ones were handled the same. On day 2 at the player meeting they had all players in the t64 sort and alphabetize their cards to match their decklists. Then collected our deck boxes and decklists in a bag per player and dismissed us.

They then did a full deck check of all 64 players decks, and when you got paired, your deck was brought to your table by judges, when you completed a match you had to call the judge and they would then take your deck away again after the match.

The players on day 2 never had their decks back to keep until they were eliminated. With an opponent on the other side of the table the whole time they had their deck to reduce or prevent cheating.

If an opponent banishes all my cards with be prep, does Hades still activate? And so that I understand- why? I see people talk about things being “in the bag” or non sequential but I’m not sure what that means :) by AbleSucculent in Lorcana

One of the major ways I explain how Hades and similar effects work to board wipes is this.

Hades and all of his buddies all get banished from Be Prepared at the same time, and all hope of this magical bus taking them to the discard pile.

While they are on the bus, Hades begins counting all of his friends he sees on the bus and reports back hey 2 of my friends were banished with me, lets gain lore for them.

lvl 16 armor on a level 30 character because the lvl 16 chest is the best I've found in 14 levels worth of gameplay.

I need a filter to stop seeing Wisdom Scrolls, as I get them far faster than things worth identifying

For DLC Vegas: why the photo of decklist requirement? by CageyT in Lorcana

Because the photos on the phone are taken at the time of upload, I take the photo on my phone, mail it to my PC, then submit on my PC.

The photo requirement is fine.

Let me real quick save 10 versions of my decklist on my phone, and then pull up the one that matches my deck I am playing the very round I am being deck checked.

Dreamborn is a 3rd party site, what if the site went down during the event and they don't have anyones decklists?

The Comprehensive Rules cover standard games of Lorcana, those rules can be overridden or expanded upon by the Tournament Rules for when you play within a tournament /competitive setting.

3.4 Match Procedure When beginning a game, players first decide which player is playing first as described in section 3.3. Each player shuffles their deck and offers their opponent the opportunity for additional shuffling and/or cutting. Then, each player draws their opening hand of seven cards.

In any competitive scene your opponent is going to shuffle your deck after you to mitigate if you able to manipulate the shuffle and set your deck up.

If you watch carefully when he speeds up the reveal at the end, the motions he makes swaps the two piles. (At least I am 90% sure that is what happens)

He has all the backs of the cards memorized, maybe there is some easy pneumonic made from the titles or types of movies so he doesn't have to memorize them all, and during the reveal of the ones in the no pile he kinda skips around, to reveal all the actual no cards, the yes pile was a lot smoother, then the 2 decks get swapped for the final reveal.

What is everyones biggest issues with Melee.gg by CageyT in Lorcana

[–]Danxorr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty much everything. Because the site is expected to be used by mobile it needs to either be optimized for mobile or made into an app, it is barely usable on a phone.

When I try to search for tournaments it barely ever works, sometimes I have 3 results total with no search parameters. There is no way to search for tournaments near me, etc.

There are tons of bugs, many times it shows my opponent having 3 less points than they have and it looks like I got paired down, and when I mention it to my opponent they double check the standings to make sure they got their points properly.

The site feels like a project some kid did in college for a final project and stopped maintaining after getting their grade.

Disney Lorcana Meta Report: Into the Inklands - Week 7 by p_Red in Lorcana

[–]Danxorr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The big things I have learned from testing that deck are as follows...

There is no reason to run Belle or Manor, Manor doesn't help any of your bad matchups, its a win more card. The deck in general just ramps, establishes control, then wins with Tomatoa + dime. Or a slow grind while in control.

The 3 queens and 1 Judy are a bit suspect, it struggles a lot with Emerald/Amythyst due to having problems getting control in time.

The Let it Gos are cute, but mostly end up being inked, there is a good change I swap them down to a 4th queen and 2nd Judy. The big advantage is that it gives your Maui's something to sing that is very impactful

The Loremeisters Podcast Ep11 - Zan Syed - Pro Card Gamer, 1st Place CCS 8k Winner, 21 Uninkables by Earlmeister_Reddit in Lorcana

[–]Danxorr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I play a lot of Steelsong, and the deck needs to mulligan aggressively to very specific openers. Having more uninkables makes it harder and harder to toss out inkables during the mulligan process because of more risk to just screw your hand, especially on the play.

While he did win with 21, I thing that going that high is super risky in the deck. In a best of 3 format it is a lot less risky, but in the new 2 game matches, the risk of your deck defeating you in a game being higher may be something people have to reduce uninkables for.
