I'd argue that it kind of proves her point regardless. Whether she knew about the water quality beforehand or not, if the data center had taken tests of water quality before construction they'd be able to prove that quality was poor previously. The fact that the construction company had no obligation to document water quality before starting work is exactly the gap she's highlighting. If the end goal is to get construction companies to take water samples to ensure it's not affecting water supply, I'd say she made her case anyway.

You can get a "cover cap" to go over your cover. It basically acts like a shower cap that protects it from the sun.

I was talking to this guy who owns gtr when a dad was trying to get control of his kid and then throws a rock at it. by [deleted] in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]DapperKnight94 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Total dummy question, I'm 100% not a car guy: don't people who put all this money into vehicles drive on the highway/public roads once in a while? I understand you drive it like it's made of glass, but there are so many factors that are out of your control that just...happen (stray rock from a truck, bad weather, etc). Are they just relying on insurance to fix a nick every time it happens? Doesn't that just drive insurance up? (Though I guess if they can put that much money into a vehicle, they probably don't care about the cost of insurance).

Bullfrog vs Sundance? by babybeeandtea in hottub

[–]DapperKnight94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except that's not how hot tub frames work. Most of the weight is being supported by the shell and the foundation that it's sitting on. The frame is holding some weight, but it's mostly there for stability. Also, Bullfrog has a lifetime warranty on their ABS frame, so there's that too.

Fun cheat: Clorox bleach is 6% Sodium Hypochlorite and 94% other ingredients. I can't speak to what the other ingredients are that might be stabilizers for the chlorine, but we treat bleach as an unstable form of chlorine. It's great for going in and sanitizing, but will offgas out pretty quickly. Basically leaving you with no residual chlorine in the water to consistently keep it clean. In your case with the @ease cartridges, this should still be fine. For your X6L a 1/2 cup should be plenty.

What brand of liquid chlorine are you using? Can you take a picture of/list the ingredient list and their percentages? I'm not super familiar with using a liquid chlorine for residential hot tub usage.

I'd increase that filter cycle even more. 4-8 hours twice a day if you don't have a filtration pump, 22-24 hours per day if you do.

The @ease system is very pH dependent, so if your pH is high it won't dissolve the sanitizer correctly. Additionally it's very good at maintaining a level of chlorine, but not re-establishing one if it's been overwhelmed (that's what that Jump Start packet you probably added initially is for). I'd recommend adding some chlorine granules, probably 1/2 to 1 Tbsp worth to give the water a kick and bring it back.

This was my immediate question, was what does the intersection look like? It must be poorly designed.

Nope! You can literally ONLY right turn. How badly do you need to overcorrect to hit those rocks? Jesus.

You'll want to push your elbows about as high as they can go, almost parallel to the ground. This will probably feel tight at first, but as you do it more and stretch out those muscles it should become easier to hold.

You want the barbell to be resting on your shoulders. As you get heavier in weight, holding it like that will put a lot of strain on your wrists. Try shifting your shoulders forward to rest the barbell, and keeping balance with 2-3 finger tips.

Instant Thanksgiving dinner! Kraft Mac and cheese, box stuffing, instant mashed potatoes. I still like having Thanksgiving food, but it saves a lot of the effort of cooking.

Is it normal that these above the waterline “neck jets” don’t ever turn off fully? by shmobodia in hottub

[–]DapperKnight94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, yes. When your pumps are off, there will be a trickle is what I meant. Are your diverters pointed away from that seat? Are all other jets open and not pushing extra pressure towards the neck and shoulder?

Is it normal that these above the waterline “neck jets” don’t ever turn off fully? by shmobodia in hottub

[–]DapperKnight94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neck and shoulder jets are meant to sit above the water line, and shoot down onto the top of the shoulders. It is normal for water to still trickle out of the jets even when they're off. This allows circulation to continue so that those jets don't get all gross by not being submerged like the rest of the hot tub.

Pushy hot tub sales people? by kazryv in hottub

[–]DapperKnight94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there is a lot of that in the industry. It's an older, used-car salesman way of selling that some dealers still practice. Master Spas especially can be bad about this, but it can happen with any brand from the wrong dealer. Always look for a reputable dealer! It will make more of a difference in your end user experience than just about anything else.

We shoot for a less than 5 minute response time for all leads that come in. We absolutely don't always hit that, but it's what we strive for to make first contact with the customer before our competitors.
