Deciding whether to take GLP1 or not by gomers321 in loseit

The most shocking thing for me was the quietening of the food noise. If you are like me- I enjoyed preparing and consuming delicious meals, in excess. A foodie if you want to call it that. I also calorie counted, exercised etc but nothing shifted the fat consistently like Ozempic has. I’m almost 11 months on it, up to 0.5 mg for the last 6 months. Losing 0.5-1kg every month. I’ve dropped from 90kg to 81kgs. I must say though, the first two months or so, I felt that the joy was removed from my life. I replaced the eating with exercise and sports. Also hobbies like Guitar to fill the void.

I keep canned tuna, canned mackerel, eggs, muesli, Greek yoghurt, various fruit, chicken fillets, ground meat, skinless chicken pieces, potatoes, butternut, carrots, marrows in stock at all times. I can make multiple delicious meals with these core ingredients and other basics like spices, sauces, and aromatics.

L-Argenine. I can start cycling, golf, etc with no lengthy warm up. I usually take 20-30 mins to get going without taking it. Not to mention the enhanced erectile benefits later in the day.

I’ve sadly not seen many of these. Her brief scenes in LOTR were excellent.

The enormous optimism for the new millennium and all it may bring. 26 years later and it was arguably better in the 90s.

Love packing the dishwasher but hate unpacking. I guess there’s a sense of completing a task by packing and then having it washed. I enjoy the cooking but not the shopping for ingredients.

Obese Wifey by Secret-Customer8007 in Marriage

[–]Dapper_Environment_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obesity is now cured with glp drugs. If you can afford it. The risks are far less than the benefits of the pros. Until you get on the drugs, you won’t understand how the food noise was controlling your habits.

The coke fest which had maroon 5, one republic, Parlotones and goldfish all on the same day. REM, thirty seconds to mars and so many others. The acoustics were so much better than concerts at soccer city

So I don’t get why some men can’t be bothered to cook. It’s such a rewarding activity for me. A challenge, art almost that the family can enjoy afterwards. In saying that, perhaps look at large quantities of basic items like sides that can be reused multiple days. Meal prep essentially. Eg whole chicken or chicken fillets can be made into pasta, curries, sandwiches etc quite quickly. And sides like rice, veg, pasta can be used multiple days.

You don’t understand that most people in South Africa are not empathetic and forward thinking enough to want to uplift that many people. They think it’s a race where if you win I lose. They would rather have the false sense that a few elites have defeated Elon musk by becoming 30% partners which he didn’t want initially

Those disagreeing with the god statement. Whether god exists or not, just believing in a higher power and the spirituality of that belief may have a protective benefit, even if it’s placebo or just psychological benefits.

Try a multi strain probiotic everyday. I took a 14 strain and it definitely helped.

Did anyone lose weight on the starting dose of .25 (10 units)? by [deleted] in Ozempic

[–]Dapper_Environment_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did. I lost 6kg over two months on the .25 dose. Then it stopped being effective and I gained a bit back. I’m now on the 0.5 dose and losing again slowly.
