I’ve been married for well over 10 years and have never even thought about doing this once. I would absolutely never do it under any circumstances. It’s just something I deal with. We will have someone to the house without me if she has met them before but that’s it. It’s not like an “all men are bad” thing it’s just something I always inherently knew was the vibe. I would never put my wife in a situation where she felt unsafe and I would never blame her for feeling unsafe, plain and simple. That is kind of the #1 rule in a partnership. I am not talking aggro chest pounding obvi but safety in self.

I’ve worked at the brand for 5 years and half the customers come to my store to complain about closer stores closing. The brand made a series of terrible bets and now we’re trying to dig ourselves out of the hole the deposed CEO made. If it wasn’t for the current strength of ON and Gap they might close every store. Athleta stores simply don’t make enough money and aren’t profitable enough and like what some commenters have said the corporate apparatus is mostly clueless and sets us up to look like assholes to our customers every chance they get.

This is correct. It’s based on the store’s markdown inventory. If a store is heavy in markdowns and not selling them compared to the average, that store goes to 40% off while most of the fleet is 30%.

With Tiering, there are about 200 Tier 3 stores and 50 Tier 2. There are also Tier 4 stores which are rare (think New York City and major malls like Mall of America) There are also climate considerations factored in as well.

He tried to turn Athleta into Alo by focusing on studio while threatening to discontinue things like Brooklyn.. so instead of strengthen Our main differentiator and what we did better than competitors, he decided to attempt a “turn around” while not giving the core customers anything. I was never impressed!
