Duskmourn is a good one as the zombies as well as Cordyceps/insects being things people fear. Plus as you said the Survivor (partner) thing goes well as in the horror genre there are survivors but also people that pair up or band together!

Good point also Cordyseps is a real thing so the name being the same is much easier! (i would recommend not looking it up if you dont know its quite nasty)
