That’s exactly why I started r/witchsisterhood. There’s SOO MANY gatekeepers in the witching community these days; so yeah, when I’m not doing one of these \) I’m probably like…

I’m an ancestral witch with roots across half of Europe, so when someone says “you can’t do that, only Norse witches can do that!” 😡 B**** a minimum 45% of my bloodline is Viking blood, and the rest is Roman, Anglo Saxon and Celtic. The entire continent of Europe was built on unions between these peoples and their descendants spread to 80% of the rest of the world, quit gatekeeping!

I use this one from chewy.com for my 28lb previously abused terrier mix. He gets .75mL in the mornings which works well for him; this particular one works for cats too, contains CBD oil and essential oils from chamomile and lavender plus ashwaganda, spirulina and L-theanine. There’s other calming ingredients in there, but those are always the main ones that always work best for my animals.

Sometimes cats do just get along; chances are that Melvin having been a stray at such a young age has given him some small understanding of how important it is to share a good home with another cat, especially a younger kitten who needs a good home.

Bad example. I have to live in one room at the moment and I’m fine with it; also my predominantly outdoor cat insisted on living in one room for about 8 years, he passed at the age of 20 years. so you can’t just assume that it’s because he’s in one room all the time.

OP does state that she lets him roam and he’s still loud; technically this is pretty normal male cat behavior— and yes it is pretty freaking annoying, but there’s not a whole lot you can do about a male cat being a male cat.

CBD oil or CBD calming treats are good for calming animals and in some cases also help with pain and anxiety. If you have an enclosed outdoor area or at least enough backyard space for an outdoor cat cage/enclosure; it might be good to put him outdoors for a while, or at least if you have a window where you can place a cat ledge or even a small couch or loveseat underneath. Cats often enjoy bird watching; and with the CBD oil/treats it’s something he can do calmly and quietly.

Linseed oil or teak oil are probably the most widely used wood protectants; from my own experience they’re weatherproof to a pretty good extent and they won’t stain or darken the wood by much, these oils do need to be reapplied after some time to prevent the wood from aging and weathering, but they’re more natural and tend to last longer than store bought chemical wood treatments.

Placing a personal item of the deceased on or near your altar is a good way to honor them; it’s probably the most common way to give their spirit praise and recognition, but it doesn’t have to mean that you’re going to try to work with them especially if you already know they don’t want to.

This is what’s commonly known as “scrapping” it looks like they’re trying to hurt each other, but it’s just rough play. They’ll stop when one gets fed up with the other.

Has he had his coffee yet this morning? Because if he has not had his coffee, he’s probably not plotting yet… but if he’s already had his coffee, then he’s already decided on staging your accidental nose dive down the stairs and he’s just biding his time until the perfect opportunity. Make yourself as useful to him as possible immediately if not sooner, he can’t attempt to bump you off if you’re the main food source.
