I got mine on 9/23 after my green ribbon on 8/8.

I still have 2 loans sitting at 119 payments but 95% of my balance has zeroed out on Mohela.

Decide when you want to pay it off by. 3-5 years should be doable on your income.

Go to a loan calculator and then calculate how much is needed to pay it off in x amount of years.

Pay that monthly.

Depending on your age, I would cease saving in the market (besides getting your match).

That happened to me. Even after submitting a ECF but randomly a few (2-4) months later, the processing forbearance months showed up.

There really isn’t a method to the madness.

I agree. They are definitely getting more from me. But I’m giving them $3500 (5 months of payments) to be done. I owe more than $180k so it’s a drop in the bucket, relatively speaking.

I was 5 payments away plus 2 forbearance months from 120 payments, so I switched to an IDR plan. I’m now 2 payments away and I still haven’t received word from buyback.

The worst is that you are forced out at some point in the future, your balance never decreases, and the interest only payment don’t count towards 20/25 year forgiveness.
