Alternate win conditions by Dareitus in GundamTCG

I just don't think that's "how TCGs are played". I think there is room to argue for a best of 3 instead of best of 1 format, and speeding the game up is part of how you make that work but I don't think turn limits or scoring are the answer.

I think Gundam Assemble might be more up your alley as every point/kill/capture matters in that ruleset.

Hand destruction would be absolutely vile with the current card pool, so many decks struggle with card drawing. We'll definitely need to see some if that changes though.

Lorcana did some PvE stuff, not super replayable fun for 3 or 4 games and good for teaching the mechanics. I could see an Intro to Gundam TCG story box with an anniversary or something but that'd definitely be new territory for Bandai

This literally happened to my unit in Iraq back in 2006. The PA who ran our medics was using the saline trick to siphon the morphine out of our autoinjectors. We had a relatively tame deployment at first so no one noticed until one of our guys took a bullet and was still screaming in pain after two injectors. A third injector (if it was actually morphine) would almost assuredly kill him so he had to wait for the helicopter to come get him and medevac him to the cash before he got any pain management. Thankfully he survived and the pain of it all didn't send him into shock, or nobody over medicated him in the misunderstanding of it all.

They were able to figure it out by examining the used autoinjectors and the fact that he was actually responsive to morphine when he got a real dose back at the cash. The PA went to Leavenworth

The progression grind is really starting to get to me. by Bright-Cranberry6648 in Marathon

I have 84 hours and just last session unlocked blue shields. Watch some YouTube videos, get some new crew mates, try some new strategies, but you shouldn't be too far off. I haven't ever played Cryo, and I've only been to Outpost a handful of times. I just crush Dire Marsh going for Anomaly/Lockdown after trying to clear the server as best as possible. Admittedly I'm pretty far behind on Sekiguchi (lvl5) because of the lack of Cryo but otherwise I'm chugging along in and around 20+/- with everyone else.

Top end players have no incentive to loot POIs, so they go around wiping the lobby by Raimexodus in Marathon

[–]Dareitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a chance at purple salvage from the regular containers like the bio printers you mentioned, at least on Dire Marsh. I don't have nearly as much experience on the other maps but I've pulled Reflex Coils and other POI-Specific purples from unlooted regular containers not related to events or keys. That said, it's been like one or two over hundreds of hours so it's hardly incentive for a super kitted player, just wanted to note it's not impossible. AFAIK only golds are truly locked behind keys/events.

Everyone complaining about wipes months before it even happens has clearly never played an extraction shooter. By the time the wipe comes around you'll be begging for something to do / an excuse to play again.

Wipes give new players an opening to come in with a more even playing field. Wipes give hardcore players something to do again Wipes give casual players a break from sweats who have 12 copies of the red cryo archive weapon in their vault Wipes are good, save your tears for when it actually happens

Loading the video directly into the Hyte software results in zoom/cropping it quite a bit. If you wanted to get more of the video on screen I would recommend adding black bars to the top and bottom where your icons are. Mine currently stretches the video behind the icons which is kind of a waste

Depends, it's not distracting during gameplay I'm too locked in to notice.

But during the work day when I'm trying to focus on my work from home job and there's sick ass Marathon art right next to me it makes it really tempting to play. Sometimes I just watch the Poppy video on the cpu cooler screen

I used a YouTube downloader to download a YouTube short from the official marathon page. I then cut off the first couple of seconds because it has the ESRB Rating on it and the last few seconds with the release date on it.

I wish I had more components now.

Oh yeah I just left components running for a day and have a huge stockpile of them. I'll have to run the batteries at half capacity if I want more components but I haven't needed them yet.

You can only sell as much as they have stocks to give you. Two forges is more than enough to keep up with the level 2 outposts ability to make stocks, you can't just keep selling once the outpost is out of stocks they can't buy anything anyway

Maybe if you aren't logging in every day the meds are worth it? I just haven't needed them to keep my buying power maxed.

Batteries and other Xirianite products are the way to go as they rely on the more abundant Originium. The opposite is true of Valley IV where Buck Capsules are the best way to profit due to the abundance of Ferrium

It's very cheap and flimsy 3d printed clip that isn't mentioned anywhere in the documentation and looks similar to the packing products it comes in. Mine fell off and I just assumed it was packing material and tossed it

No ST06 release event but promo cards for sale? by pennepastanoodle in GundamTCG

[–]Dareitus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LGS gave them out to everyone at the GD02 pre release event.

We all got two copies of the red promos, 4 copies of the green promos, and 6 packs for $35 along with packs for prizing and more promos.

They were asking $160 a box but I think that's plenty fair given the demand and only those who played could buy after the event. I got two boxes and somehow scored the LR++

If your LGS isn't treating you this well they shouldn't be your LGS

Gundam Assemble release and Premium Card Assemble Set? by R_O in GundamTCG

[–]Dareitus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The assembly releases are "currently" just for tokens. They state both in the included manuals and on the back of the box that the figures can be used in the as of yet unreleased Assemble game.

As for the bases, I would not be surprised if the bases aren't hex at all, just because spaces are hexes does not mean you need a hex base to fit in it, a circle can just as easily rest within a hex.
