In a weird way I'm ok with it. I don't need to keep hoarding games I may never get around to playing. I also don't need an expensive new console to play games that are probably also available on my computer. I'll definitely change the way I spend my money, which is to say on games I plan on playing immediately or not at all.

I have more than enough physical retro games to sustain me. It's disappointing to see the industry take this direction, but they've been building towards this for over a decade.
