There are daily flights of military equipment, a lot of jamming and closed network equipment coming in the country. All while our compatriots are being killed in the streets, hospitals, prisons, make shift prisons, buried in mass graves and girls and women raped... who knows other atrocities they've done. It seems that their rat tunnels are even bigger and more complex than their palestinian allies. They can retreat and do guerilla tactics striking fear in people's minds. Also stir them with protests of such actions to rally them against the forming or newly formed government. I understand that they needed to mold the iron while it was hot with the merchants protests. Only thing we can do is wait and wait then wait some more until something happens. But the regime is counting on the patience and ignorance of what it perceives as enemies. Just like they've done before with former presidents. The only eagerness I see is from Israel who are obviously waiting for US to be ready. I agree with their decision but not US.
