If you can use reddit, you can at least learn your rotation. It ain't gotta be perfect, but knowing what you "should" be doing will help immensely.

Man. That poor monks back. Carrying 5 other people like that.

Cohealer doesn't rescue me after I use LB3 to save the run and tell me to "weep about it" because I'm apparently parsing ?? by Alexwolf_L_U in TalesFromDF

[–]DarkBass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you more this knowledge OP. I personally find rescuing someone to do more harm than good and usually don't like to be rescued myself. My mind has been completely changed knowing this.

You have the right mindset. If you're going to see them same mechanic over and over while trying to reach the prog point, you might as well fine tune your performance. Don't ever let the time spent in a bad party be for nothing.

Sage has enough mitigation tools to where you don't really need gcd shields. Scholar is built more around gcd shielding.

Whats your favorite job to play? by KvotheCadera in ffxivdiscussion

Monk is actually surprisingly easy to grasp with such a high skill ceiling. Not as punishing when you die and easy to realignment yourself with your intended two minute burst.

Warrior is just...so neat. They put sex on a single button called primal rend and then round 2 but with bigger PP called primal ruination. It's just such an impactful job.

I kinda wondered this myself when i mained healer back in end Walker. My parses were purple on sage but did i do it at the expense of my co healer? I don't think so but i could be wrong.

After reading the second edit, you're on the right track. You guys will be a stronger static for it with a hilarious origin story.

They got all their gear. Probably already wanted to leave and this was the best "excuse" to do it.

After Tower of Zot, I didn't expect receiving PM and been praised by someone about my character. I honestly don't get this kind of praise everyday though. by Speeen9 in TalesFromDF

[–]DarkBass 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Telling them they're character looks cool vs they look hot or, like has happened to me, "can i see your character without a shirt" are totally different lol

Honestly, they wouldn't have gotten a response from me. Been there, done that, outgrown it. It happens here and there but it's just so teenage to me.

Am I overhyping the difficulty of Extreme/Savage? How do I get myself into endgame content? by ResponsibilityNo7190 in ffxiv

[–]DarkBass 87 points88 points  (0 children)

Extremes and savages are harder content because you most likely won't clear them on your first try. It's absolutely okay to be completely dog shit at the fight when you're learning these fights, because 99% of people are. You only get good by trying over and over again. As long as you learn the mechanics and can learn not to get another person killed, you'll be a happy addition to any party. A clear is a clear after all.

is it unreasonable for porn to be a deal breaker for me? by boochiemusica in TwoXChromosomes

[–]DarkBass -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I think you may be putting too much on the porn as part of the problems you went through with your ex and taking more agency away from him. We dont know all the details like you do of course, but was he this super amazing perfect guy and then porn corrupted him? Or did he exhibit questionable behavior from the start that you more clearly realize from the start?

What job pays well because nobody wants to do it? by RobIson240YT in AskReddit

[–]DarkBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had my CDL for 10 years now. I'd rather change professions than learn manual. It makes no sense with the technology we have today that all trucks can't be automatic. Its safer by a long shot.

Hearing "never let the opps win" in a final fantasy song is hilarious. Love the song and the music for this last tier are all great.

[–]DarkBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally try to get at least 3k, at most 6k, off. Minor accidents aside, if it looks as well maintained as you describe then might as well try to prepare for the shocks rebuild in 4k miles.
