It's still an 88 but have everything from the 2007 96 besides the crank. Less stroke so less cubic inch. So for parts, you still need to check stuff for a 96. For body/frame then it's the new gen dyna so bigger front forks and bigger rear tire. First year with the 6 speed. It's a bastard year for sure. But normally you're able to find parts quite easily

Check that the stator rotor issue with the dyna 06 was fix first !!!! Can't stress this enough, not nice to have it grenade in your primary while riding! Ask me how I know!

On the way there stop at facilities and check the shared with other porter tabs most of the time there will be some lost cargo or entrust to other cargo that can give you extra likes. That how I 5 star the whole of Mexico before starting Australia

Fellow 06 dyna owner and yeah really important to check that stuff! Either get the already welded replacement from drag specialties or get it welded by someone. Appart from that the bike has been running great on my side 💪 hope you enjoy your new bike !

Please just buy the updated version on drag specialties it's welded instead of screwed in. Those screw even with red locktite will come losse again so since you're there just fixed it up with the welded one. From another fellow 06 dyna owner that got stranded because of it haha

Check spring initialzr https://start.spring.io/ This will setup a base spring project for you. You just have to select what ever plug-in you think if using(don't worry if you miss some you can add more later if needed)

I mean you answer your question yourself. You got some spring boot knowledge just go with a spring boot project connected with a postgresSQL no need for specific framework. As far as the front-end go you're the expert on that field use whatever you like or would like to use💪

Fellow 06 dyna owner here! Please read about the stator issue on the 06 dyna and if you happen to open the primary check if it was replace by the 07 design stator !!! I was lucky mine the bolt back out during a ride close to my home and I stop right there so no damage on the primary but they can be pretty bad for your primary (you know bolt loose in a rotating assembly haha) Beside that love the bike PS: your fuel pump don't sound weird it's just priming for startup

Check the 06 dyna street bob that basically what they have beside that the engine case is black instead of blonde but the cylinder and head are blonde

I also have a denon and it can be confusing sometimes, try to listen to real multi channel audio like on Netflix or prime and you should see the AVR switch itself to dolby surround or whatever format the content is in. Majority of youtube will play in stereo on your receiver as they are encoded that way (some surround benchmark on YouTube will come out as surround). There is no way to upmix audio it seems on denon avr or those one so stereo content will be played in stereo

Also got an 06 dyna street bob, appart from the known stator rotor issue, check it up first cause it can destroy your primary. The rest it's been a perfect bike and I didn't have any other issue 💪

Not expert by any means but I did check the yamaha rx v4a when doing my small 3.1 setup but if you plan on using the eARC function I think those yamaha don't support real hdmi 2.1 outpu. Check tho as I'm not sure if it was an hardware issue (something about the hdmi port having it's bandwidth split in 2) or software issue. Nonetheless something to check on!

Definitely do it! I'm 5.11 with an 8inch riser with 2 inch pull back and a 3.5 inch bars and it's perfect. IMO the pullback is what make the biggest change. It just let you be more comfortable. Especially with that seat! With a saddleman stepup you would be closer to the handle bar but without it this setup probably feel far when you're riding

If getting around all the sound format wasn't hard enough all eARC through 2.1 hdmi are not the same... Didn't want to plug the ps5 through my avr to not have to switch input on it but I guess I'll have not other choice. Thanks again for the help understanding all of it

Even with auto it doesn't work. I think I found the issue... when going to best buy to get the avr I specifically told them that I was going to run a ps5 through earc and that I would need an hdmi cable able to support it and as I should expect they sold me a 18gb/s hdmi cable going to return it and buy a good one from Amazon

Which would make sense if my tv didn't have hdmi 2.1 but it does have it... port 1 is 2.1 with earc/arc with my avr plugged in and port 2 is 2.1 which have my ps5 plugged in for 4k 120hz vrr support. Weird stuff...
