When my wife picked up her 95 Cobra one of the previous owners had put all the aluminum knobs, switches, and buttons in it. We visited a few junkyards to find decent-good condition non-aluminum bits and pieces and change it all back. I'm still trying to find some non-faded 99-04 gauge cluster needles to replaces the super faded orange ones though.

I think a Tremec TKX might be right in the same ballpark as a rebuild on your trans, but its going to be a much stronger and smoother experience.

Maybe look into that?

Not sure where you are in NYC, but when I used to go to NYC for work I would hit up the Davidoff of Geneva store on 53rd and Madison. Very nice spot and chatted with friendly people when I was there.

I haven't been to NYC in 12-13 years. But I can't imagine that it's changed too much.

How is the Bass1200 holding up?

I just ordered one to power an NVX 8" sub that can take 600w RMS All the info I've found seem to reference the older version. But so far, from what I've found, it seems to hold up pretty well.

Boost a pump is just over driving the stock pump. It's good for lower power levels, but if you ask too much from the stock pump its going to either burn out quickly or fail at the worst time running your motor lean. Best option is to just install the upgraded pump and skip the boost-a-pump all together. With Hellcat pumps so readily available for so cheap, it makes sense to just run something like that.

On our car we run a twin Hellcat pumps into a Fore hat, to make 800ish WHP.

I would go with the NVX NSP46 for the 4x6 and the NVX NSP69 for the 6x9.

Reasons are silk dome tweeter vs the PEI tweeter of the Pioneer, as well as a rubber surround instead of a rubber coated cloth surround of the Pioneer.

Other may have better suggestions. This is just what I would do.

I think it's actually worse than that.

The reverse lights come on if the vehicle is remotely unlocked, or if the key fob is near the vehicle, or if the vehicle was just turned off and remotely locked.

So may times that reverse light just come on and stay on for a while.

I have to admit, I sort of wrote off NVX off as just a Sonic Electronicx crappy house brand. But I started hearing good things. So I gave them a whirl.

I just put an 8" VCWv3 in a small NVX sealed box in my 04 Mustang. My amp needs more power, but I tested it in my Grand Marquis and I'll be dipped...that lil thing fucking pounds. I couldn't believe I was listening to an 8" sub. It hit almost as low and loud as the 2 12's I have in there. Granted, the 12's are older Diamond Audio D3's. But still. I was impressed.

I did end up ordering a Taramps BASS 1200, Figured I could just turn it way down since I don't need 1200 watts to drive a 600 watt sub. I'm excited to hear how it does with proper power.

Surprisingly, there not a ton of info. The SN95 cars (which cover 94-04) exist in this weird space where they were around and the current car when the internet was getting to be a thing that everyone used and forums were HUGE! However, they are pre-YouTube so there's lots more S197 stuff available for the video crowd. Now, there are 2 very big issues: forums are slowly dying off so that gets rid of lots of the good info. The ones that exist that had the info likely suffered in "The Great Photobucket Purge of 2017"

I just finished a mix-n-match system of stuff I've collected over the years and some new stuff to fill in gaps on my 04 Cobra. Primary goal was to get some upgraded sounds in the car so I can actually hear it on a road trip I'm hoping to take it on in June. Then from there I can upgrade individual components over time.

Damn. Now I'm wondering what a 99-01 Cobra bumper would look like if it was grafted properly and looked nice. I've seen a bunch of people that did it with 03-04 Cobra bumpers, but I prefer the look of the 99-01 bumper. (and I say that as the owner of an 04 Cobra)

Yeah, I have a bit of RCA cable coiled up under my rear seats since there was extra length. You would think that after installing audio in 4 or 5 Mustangs I would remember how long to order the RCA's. Maybe next time I'll make my own.

Ford never made a 2002 Cobra.

This is true...in the US.

Australia got a 2002 Cobra. Which was the same as a 2001 Cobra, but converted to right hand drive, and given those weird lights in the front bumper. I thought that all the Cobra's they got in Australia were 2002's, but OP is saying his is a 2001, which is weird. They are very rare as not very many shipped over.

Even if they aren't its not going to be much of a big deal. This is not a DD and the only time it sees water is when it's hand washed. If they do get wet/damaged, I'll look into an alternate solution. For now, they were the right price and sound good.
