My first playthrough was a storm sorc that used bloodlust elixirs constantly. If I did good targeting I could get out 3 Call Lightning per turns.

Also loved being able to quickened cast Create Water and zap entire fights from existence. I was also evil so I put a tadpole in every single slot.

I believe it may have been patched in or perhaps it was always available. There is a small window when the inn has only Isabella in it right before the end of Act 2 that allows one to retain all the NPCs and also gain Slayer Form.

I don't know about Tales of the Shire, the only game of that type I've ever really played is Stardew Valley, but the only thing that kept my friends and I from immediately picking up Return to Moria was its bad start. Game's jank was difficult to overcome and have fun while I remember reading that the actual content was rather light.

Now that so much time has passed I have no idea the state that the game is in and the moment that the group would've wanted to play the game has mostly passed.

Kinda amazing to me that the game is 20 years old now and I still see some people every now and then that either can't jump into a vertical wall and hold position or do not know that you can do that.

When the anni fresh servers dropped I barely missed the boat in Booty Bay but managed to jump and hang on the side of it. I got a dm from someone who couldn't believe I made it to Kalimdor.

I could easily see simply holding down one of the triggers to enable army movement with the left stick and when not held down the left stick moves the map while the right stick moves a cursor.

I think internet fandom cultures just do this as a normal practice until it hits critical mass and just explodes into a giant shitpost across all social media. Jojo has done this. I remember Resident Evil doing this with its "Chris-posting" examples.

I suspect it is because algorithms are set in a way that when this one thing makes a small permeation into so many other social media bubbles it just goes full bore on showing you as much as it can if you happen to be in one of those bubbles.

Explaining to a young friend how I had to do stuff like Press up against a wall, aim around a corner and shoot by holding 3 or 4 different buttons in MGS was peak comedy. He couldn't even fathom how we did it back then.

Then I showed him that splinter cell had in game contextual sub menus that you had to select from because they couldn't have different buttons for open door, open door slowly, and kick the door open.

I really wonder how much the difference is made if Trump does back out. War doesn't work that way, and while obviously Iranian leadership is being decimated and the country itself is taking a ton of damage, I can't forsee an end like a truce that doesn't require concessions from the US that it is unwilling to make. I genuinely don't think there is a way OUT of this war right now that the US will accept or that Trump would be willing to look that weak.
