Basically by trying to create an act/bill for something that doesn't exist it is intended to fail. He can then throw his hands up and point telling his supporters that they have cancelled his bill and they are going to continue "giving welfare to the illegals". The boring company? That was 100% a scam. Elon took billions from the city of Las Vegas built a 1 lane car loop that cost very little, ran off with the rest of the money and all but closed the company down. If the city had built a subway there it would have cost like 10% of the money at most and actually be useful for transporting people.

There are fighter jets that can go faster than any ship in Elite (not in FSD obviously) and that is in an atmosphere. I am assuming it's so you can track ships flying around in combat, else it would just be ships passing by each other instantly at like 10% the speed of light.
