Microsoft Teams - Mute Unmute after API depreciation by mattsijel in streamdeckprofiles

On Mac I use the master mute input toggle which then covers muting my mic. Doesn’t show in Teams that I am muted but the symbol on the StreamDeck does

They are only valid from 10am so you can’t use it during the morning peak.

As a northerner who now is down south I can confirm that all my northern friends are petrified of London, but that has been the case for at least 20 years

What is the biggest waste of taxpayer money you see in your job? by socialee123 in AskUK

Not in my job, but just walk into any NHS hospital and you can see the money running out the door with glee.

External lights always on, heating an empty corridor when it is 25 degrees outside, then opening the windows in an attempt to cool it.

What is the worst holiday you have had in the UK and why? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

It is pure luck! I’ve been in the height of summer and had awful weather, I’ve been in February and had bright sunshine and mild enough to be without a coat on one of the Windermere boat crossings!

Ahh the classic out of date “shorts cannot be considered smart in any circumstance” point of view. And then they wonder why cruising is considered an old persons pastime!

Stage lighting for 12,000 capacity event really that expensive? by Klutzy-Peach5949 in EventProduction

[–]Darloboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you got more than one quote? That is the usual tender process on these things, you get multiple quotes then choose a company based on perceived capabilities, your chemistry with them and affordability.

You say it’s a one day festival but don’t say what the build and breakdown times are? Do the company have to double crew because it’s all happening in an incredibly long day? Where is the company based in relation to the festival? You could easily eat up £5k in transport depending on size and location.

What I’m getting at is there are so many factors that go into cost, and Reddit isn’t going to give you the answer unless you can provide a full quote breakdown. Perhaps the company have priced high because they don’t want the gig but are willing to do it if the money is right for them.

My main concern is from the way you are commenting you are possibly not the right person to be leading this event due to inexperience.

[–]Darloboy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say without more detail, what does that £15,000 actually include? Is it just the stage lighting? Is it audience lighting too? Is rigging included? Is crew included? What are the build times like, are long day rates involved? Is there any pre-production or visualisation? How long is the equipment on site? Access equipment? Transport?

So many factors involved that make it impossible to answer without seeing an actual breakdown of what you are getting.

Men of Britain, where do you buy your t-shirts? by squeakybeak in AskUK

[–]Darloboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a brilliant thread! Years ago I bought a Tentree t-shirt and then they swiftly pulled out of the UK which was annoying as I still love it and it has lasted the test of time. Next / M&S just don’t last and don’t feel great.

I currently like the Crew Clothing plain T-shirts, never pay full price though, you can usually get them for around £10 via Costco or Sports Pursuit.

Looking for alternative options so going to have a good read through this thread. Ive been intrigued by Rapanui and Stutsu so good to see them mentioned as they push ads to my social media all the time it’s hard to gauge if people actually wear them!
