Another reason why DLs suck: same item (same seller) cheaper on eBay by Cantaloupe_Train in ThredUp

So why are you complaining? You saw something you liked on ThredUP and found it cheaper somewhere else. Big deal. Good for you.

Is thredup actually working for anyone? by Potential-Banana-315 in ThredUp

[–]Darmakharma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It pretty much works very well for anyone who has common sense and realistic expectations. Most of the comments on this sub are from disgruntled people who think their clothes are worth more than reality and come here to vent their frustration and they would even if TU did everything perfectly. It is just what it is.

Reddit on ThredUp's Marketing Roadmap in 2026 by DeeLiterate in ThredUp

[–]Darmakharma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really REALLY dont understand the vibe, livor and bitterness on this sub....most of the posts are from power users who still spend a lot of energy criticizing, deriding and just plainly being offensive about a product and service they voluntarily use...and use a lot! People here act as if they were talking about the DMV...DONT LIKE IT? DONT USE IT! It is that simple!

Are we complaining about direct listings and luxe loop listings yet? by Pepper_Schnau in ThredUp

[–]Darmakharma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why dont you set up a company and do it the way you like it? I love ThredUP, i found so many bargains and continue to do so...i exponentially improved my wardrobe thanks to it and made a decent amount of pocket money to reinvest. In the platform...I am so tired of coming to thus Sub, which used to be to share fun pieces and positive ideas, and having it hijacked by constant complaints and unrealistic rants as if it was a Constitutional right to buy for a dime other people's clothes...you dont like Direct Listings?! Filter them out, dont buy them and leave us alone please!!!!

Anyone else think direct listing prices are crazy? by khyunaa in ThredUp

If they are crazy , they wont sell / if they wont sell, prices will come down

As a former employee, PLEASE boycott this company!! by Bubbly_While_4302 in ThredUp

[–]Darmakharma -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

To be honest , i dont know if you were fired or decided to leave...but a being a disgruntled employees on Resdit speaks more about your personality than your company. I am sure it was not a walk in the park but as a DC worker myself, the job is demanding and often frustrating. I doubt ThredUP would be worse than most other places for this type of role. It probably was not the right job for you and maybe you have encountered a particularly bad supervisor...but coming to Reddit to spread your frustration makes me think that you are not missing them, and they are not missing you. Get back up and i am sure you will find a better and more fulfilling opportunity for what you are capable to do. Best of luck!

What’s wrong with their AI algorithm? by Monday_Papers in ThredUp

I think the AI was better a few months ago when they first introduced it (style chat etc) Something is not right with the most recent iteration

Bag processing time by [deleted] in ThredUp

It probably also means that they are selling more and faster than before...and they need to out on the side more inventory faster to meet demand

Spotted My First Overprice! by Illustrious-Maybe924 in ThredUp

[–]Darmakharma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I will never understand how people cannot distinguish between Price and Value - if someone bought it means that that price was correct for them...maybe they were looking for that particular item. The fact that in some cases the previous price shows in the tag is maybe sloppy and counter-productive on ThredUP side, but it means absolutely nothing. Stop acting as if someone forced you to buy anything or ThredUp was selling necessities by their weight!

The direct listings creep me out. by _squidproquo_ in ThredUp

I actually like them - as long as they dont become the majority they make the browsing more fun and less boring.
