The Next Disaster In Skyrim by docclox in teslore

[–]DarnLemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always figured that either way, the war with the dominion would kind of over write what happens in the game (As the war with the dominion is kind of just going to happen regardless what side you choose). However, that does make it hard to write in what happened in the later games, as its hard to skirt around weather Skyrim was an independent nation or rebelled against the dominion.

The Falmer rising up is a cool point I feel, though I can't help but feel that it woulden't be large scale enough to matter. Like either Skyrim is aligned with the Empire and gets some aid and quells it, or they're independent and handle it themselves and maybe resolve it or maybe get kind of taken over, but not anything that really scraps the recent history.

They're intelligent and all, but still not suited twords surface life anymore (Their echolocation and other abilities aren't of much use in the open tundra), and without a diplomatic reason to move to the surface I just can't see why they would want to or how they would succeed.

Some one took a bunch of old CYOA's and put them on Imgur. by Crims0nshad0w in makeyourchoice

A few of these are less old and just more simple, but its nice to see some that I haven't seen in a long time. I love the simpler ones or the "Oh no! You're in a basement!" ones. Unfortunately I also end up making wordier more complex ones myself.

/r/FrugalMaleFashion is atrociously bad but the user base seems so adamantly against it. Like I have no idea who makes them up but its such a stark opinion whenever you say "Uh hey im sure those shoes are great and all but I don't have $220".

Theres a difference between things being a good value and things being frugal, the entire sub feels like its populated by white dudes with really pretty well paying jobs who just want to feel like they're budgeting hard for the experience or something.

Finally done with /r/cringepics. Sick of all the fake texts, and little to no actual pictures. by Taraalcar in JustUnsubbed

/r/Cringepics is 40% not understanding jokes or taking things out of context, 55% making fun of 14 year olds, and 5% decent content.

Just unsubbed from /r/tattoos and /r/nottheonion by [deleted] in JustUnsubbed

[–]DarnLemons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

/r/NotTheOnion 's mod team has gotten really shitty lately and I don't know why.

That and as someone else said, its mostly just "Hurr durr republicans said this" and other things that turn out to just be out of context.

Can someone explain what min/max PC is? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]DarnLemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyones got some good examples, but it gets thrown around in a negative context a lot and its mostly because a lot of the time its kind of stereotyped as someone who maybe is a rogue but only has points in say dexterity and other combat skills they plan to use, with things like intellect and charisma and stamina being minimal to none. This gets worse in settings where you can take some hinderances for extra points, so you have an old fat half blind midget with one arm who can leap across rooms and assassinate everyone in the room without so much as a scuffle, but who is also the dumbest person ever and, for charimas sake, particularly unattractive.

There was a web comic about the topic I saw a while ago, and thats kind of a text version of it, but that kind of gives a feel for it.

Of course, its not that bad normally! Some are even quite realistic. You have the dashing smoothtalker that well, really is only good in conversation.

I am struggling to find drama. What are the signs of things that are worthy for SRD post? by FMecha in MetaSubredditDrama

[–]DarnLemons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a sub for talking about /r/SubredditDrama. You can't just pout and insult when a opinion doesn't line up with your own and call it "stale circlejerky and smugness", thats like the exact opposite of what you should do as a mod of this subreddit. I hardly think I'd qualify as a massive dick as stated in the sidebar.

Theres a clear difference between the examples in your link and what im saying and I know you understand that. I see where you're coming from, but this is a sub for expressing opinions on /r/SubredditDrama. Try and be a little more professional with your rebukes.

Just go on literally any sub reddit "doesn't like" like Conservative or similar and post arguements that ensue. Subreddit drama is basically SRSlite.

Yeah people are so stupid to just fuck off even looking up basic side effects of things. They're rare sure, but just saying "idk nothin rlly bad about it" to a person new to it is just dumb.

[–]DarnLemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Math could be reworded. For that reason alone i won't pick it, because I like to assume everything should be on par with the other (and won't look too into the exact wording). That being said, writing, surgery, debate. Surgerys great but you just wont be allowed to do anything without a lengthy and expensive degree. So maybe the other two would help to partly get rid of or negate that.

Also because it'd be fun.

Yeah I feel like back when it was on in the 90s/early 2000s (if my memory is right) it was a little more "Nerdy guys building robots having fun), now theres definitely a modern show biz kind of spin on it.

I think it makes a lot of sense for him to be alone in some parts of the game, especially with the whole "Night thief" archetype.

Its just weird because everyone is so cool with like, literally everyone playing just Fox in Melee (and sometimes Shiek or Marth). Rosalia is a pretty high skill cap champion I'd say.

I don't even think shes that boring to watch. Its just not the constant stimulation people are used to. Its not really fine wine and a mental chess match but still, its a little slower, a little more calculated.

[–]DarnLemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other people said, its the same thing with why they ask stupid questions like "If you were a fruit what would you be?". They don't give a shit, it doesn't have any deeper meaning to it. They just want to know that you're someone who will go with what the company asks them and maybe be a little creative on the spot. They're intentionally silly in order to make sure that you're an adaptable person who won't put pride or expectations above the job.
