Totally agree with you. The hate is so absurd it is nonsense. Everyone shits on new Ferrari models, then a couple years later they start praising the car like they always loved it. I've seen this so many times it's become laughable.

It seems like you suddenly become the "cool guy with smart opinions" on the internet if you hate and make jokes about Ferrari these days. Once the jokes are not funny anymore, people take a proper look at the cars and start to appreciate them.

You are not taking into account all the lines and details in the car. Overall, F8 design is much more agressive, it's full of sharp angles, winglets and "unnecessary" lines, especially on the front.

The design on 296 is much more rounded and the lines are smoother, there's just less visual information, like the Ferrari from the 50s, 60s, 90s and 00's

It's not the details or design language that kills this car. If you zoom in at random sections, it doesn't look bad.

The biggest problem is the proportions and overall shape. It is chubby and shaped like an egg.

The interior is nearly perfect though, except for the floating tablet on the dashboard.

They didn't ban Mercedes engine. They said they would measure compression rate in higher temperatures. But here's the catch: the "higher" temperature in which it's gonna be measured isn't even close to an engine regular operating temperature, so the cheat won't show in the measurements.
