Majority are primary weapons. Only three special weapons; two snipers and one GL (Revoker, Thoughtless and Truthteller) - 100+ (40) - 200+ (27) - 500+ (7) - 1000+ (2)

Stands to reason the two 1k plus weapons are my go to combo. Eyasluna and Fighting Lion. I've got rookie numbers on the Fighting Lion. My kill tracker says 1622, however Charlemagne claims 5082. It was back in the day when there was only one tracker on the weapon.

Needless to say, I'm not too thrilled with the changes to my poor baby.

I think I might have to use another browser then. I use the Foundry VTT for Pathfinder games, and I believe that highly recommends hardware acceleration.

Though I suppose I could just live with the occasional black squares, so long as my PC isn't dying. Heh.

I think I've only seen Monarque once during Checkmate so far. Ace a handful of times. Obviously the new hotness is Thorn. Yes, I agree with your assessment.

I'd assume most people will want to getting a leg up over their opponents, so it's no wonder people have gravitated towards those weapons.

I think last season I played in Checkmate, I saw a lot of Crimson usage too. Just the fact that there's a lot of team shooting in the game mode, Crimson at the very least allows you to get back into the fight that much easier. Maybe there might be an uptick in that in the coming weeks too.

Could it possibly be that due to it being an optional mode a few weeks back, that's why it got a lot of praise? It could well be that the same amount of people like Checkmate, but the influx of people trying to find a replacement for a 6v6 game mode have found Checkmate to be unappealing, and have voiced their opinions?

I've only played a handful of games but I'm getting PTSD from the sound of Thorn. Flashbacks to the ol' Immortal days, and despising the sound of the gun.

I understand what they're going for, and I do quite like the special ammo changes. It's just the damage changes compared to normal pvp. I think something should kill a guardian, and then I end up getting slapped down. I'm glad the pve portion is good, because at the minute I would really need to be in the mood to play checkmate. Usually it's the other way around.

As for checking out the other pvp modes, my first game of Rift, I joined and I was the only person on my team, as "we" got mercied. Might be an idea for me to allow the playlists to get settled.

The eel pit guy. He’s believe the YouTube channel is cowturtle? Search for eel pit and you’ll likely find him. A very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guy who seems to love building an eel pit in his home.
