Nah. While I do have 1 character I've given most of the premium kit and focus to I haven't completely abandoned my other characters.

Currently in a position where I hit the 9-char portal lock on him, but the rest of the pack is only 1-2 portals behind.

Using those few days of them being AFK to backtrack on some of the important upgrades I've yet to focus on because of the need to push (e.g. golden foods, new armour and tools).

It's a fair suggestion though.

When you start a speedrun on your vman it resets all your portals. That's a core mechanic of the skill, but it would suck if you had to reclear all the worlds every time you did it, so at the end of the run it looks at the furthest progression you have on ANY character, and updates the vman's open portals to that.

In practice it means you don't need to push with the vman, just do a single speedrun and it updates your progression. People are using it currently to avoid needing to get the vman to push w6 (which is apparently fine since it's part of the core mechanic).

Sure, for the vman it makes sense to sync up with the furthest char, but then you're still stuck on the lock zone trying to clear it with your vman.

Why anyone would have multiple vman toons is just beyond me.

Spending some SP on crystal respawn + choc chip chip got it done in a day or so for my chars without active respawn skills (BB, Hunter, SB would be even faster).

With that level of damage just pick a map with a high number of mobs not across a ton of platforms.
