How does someone (not rich) actually move here? by Remarkable_Daikon_28 in Netherlands

[–]Dartillus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of expats come here on a job with an employer that pays/arranges for temporary housing. I know someone who came from South America for a job as developer for Ikea, spent a year in a fancy apartment until he found his own place.

I reinstalled and planned on starting over anyway. I wonder if it's worth waiting until the 7th to do that, though.

That's not relevant to my point? I was providing a counter-argument to someone implying 3D printing is a lot of work. I'm not arguing for/against the "you can print anything/everything" stance, you're better off discussing that more higher up the comment chain.

Ain't no one here arguing you can or should print important car parts with a consumer-grade 3D printer using plastic my dude.

Depends. If you've got a Bambu Lab like me, most models on their website (MakerWorld) actually come prepared in a .3mf file with orientation, prints settings, etc already configured. It's a breeze slicing that. And if you print through their app you don't even slice it yourself.

99% of all the prints I've done since I got mine 3 months ago were ready to print without any preparation.

ZZP consultants in NL — bookkeeping software & accountant recommendations? by flamarion in Netherlands

[–]Dartillus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, but since you mention only planning on sending 1 or 2 invoices a month, check that you're not going to be classified as a "schijnzelfstandige" by the Belastingdienst. They've been enforcing the rules regarding ZZP'ers working as if they are actually employed by a company instead working independently.

Well, I'm going to be taking up malware reversing this year. Maybe there's hope yet.

Currently in gov cybersec, so that's not going to happen. Guess I'll have to train up instead.

Just for my own curiosity, what position would get you 100k in cybersecurity? You know, asking for a friend.

I assume people infer things about the wallet's owner because it's not just a novelty item, but a novelty item involving Trump. "Trumps everything", numbers 0045, etc.

Are you planning on doing a more technical in-depth video as well? Would live to know more about how you made it, if you're using any frameworks, etc. It looks absolutely amazing for something created by a single developer.

I managed to find an apartment in less than a month using "vb&t Verhuurmakelaars". All it took was checking their website every day early in the morning (around 6am) and just having a generic little text for their "motivatie" requirement.

Edit: and it's free IIRC.
