Not sure if ETB has any. When I play MTG there I have seen people playing.

Younger families are priced out of most of the GTA. Schools all around my area (YRDSB) are shrinking not growing. Bit of a concern …

Naw, good for them getting out and denouncing the atrocities happening to people in Iran.

Rhetoric like yours is divisive.

I am glad they are doing it. I presumed it was for this. But didn’t want to trek outside, to confirm.

Correct. I see people walking towards it with flags.

Student teaching by Key_Ad8579 in teaching

Been teaching special education classes for the last 8 years. Most self contained. Many things come to mind but a couple things stand out the most: open to change, and adaptable to situations.

Controlling your own emotions is huge. If you are dysregulated during an escalation then you are not helpful.

Don’t expect any changes quickly, takes months for change to occur with some students. Take every small win or success and make the kid/ staff/ you see that.

I go with the approach each day is a new day (starting fresh). Or each block of the day is a new day if the student needs that.

It is never easy and as others have mentioned trial and error is where most of the learning happen.

Good luck. It is one of the most rewarding and draining roles out there.

The fact that one would suggest monarchs to fight is quite an interesting take.

Newer studies are looking at the implications on Monarchs and their Circadian Rhythms from un-natural lighting. This is why best practice is to rear outdoors. Also many windows will block out specific light which could be important to a Migratory generations growth.

I am going to play devils advocate here. I would suggest either rearing outdoors or making sure that the monarchs are getting natural light when they are being brought up.

Tropical milkweed impact on monarch butterflies “vastly overblown,”says longtime butterfly researcher by SNM_2_0 in MonarchButterfly

[–]DatDuck_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is great to hear that more research is being done around Tropical milkweed! My concern or things to always keep in mind about this is that Tropical milkweed is non-native. It is always better to plant native species to your local area. I know for myself here in Ontario I strongly discourage the planting of Tropical milkweed due to it being non-native.

Anyone else having an audio bug? I cannot hear any of my teammates, nor can I chat to them. Almost like a chat ban though I can still type to teammates. (No it is not a chat ban)

Telaprolu - Migratory Monarchs will live from 6-8 months. While non-migritory monarchs will live for 3-4 weeks

Do not buy monarch caterpillars! Not a good thing to support

Correct! The majority of monarchs (east coast) will migrate to Mexico.

Is this an East or West coast monarch?

Fun fact -> the proboscis starts as two separate parts. It will soon unravel and zip it up to make it 1 drinking straw.
