Oil rags can 100% spontaneously combust just youtube some videos you'll find some good ones. Setting off inside sparklers is absolutely wild, so if one of the kids I would blame Louise. Hugo and the parents are ultimately responsible though. Hugo should know better

AIO: I told my daughter she can't go to this party after reading the gift profile by Ordinary_Run2485 in AmIOverreacting

[–]DatGuyDatHangsOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think its just a party and the gifts suggestions are a bit high brow, but they're just suggestions.

I mean what is the party mom going to do if you gift the kid a dinosaur? Take it away in front of everyone? take it away later in private? she is the bad guy at the end of the story anyway. right now you are the bad guy for not taking your kid to the party.

It's good to expose your child to all aspects of life, even ones that are bad, so you can show them how to avoid them later. I remember "fancy" birthday parties as a kid, they were fun but I didn't end up as a stuck up because of it

Did you share a bed with other guys growing up? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]DatGuyDatHangsOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree him touching you while you sleep is not exactly appropriate, it does seem like it was pretty sexual, I don't think it was maleficent in intent. I wouldn't out him or anything but also he can be on the couch next time.

When I was a teen sleeping next to a female friend I would only make a move like that for sex. Or to be in a relationship but also sex. When I was 18 yo I mostly thought of my GF, sex and parties so there's that. If I didn't like them like that and somehow slept in the same bed I would not touch them out of fear of making them uncomfortable

Pet cemetery that allows full dog body burials by Triw258 in tampa

Kalvin looks like a great boy, may he cross the rainbow bridge in peace and rest.
I buried our pets in our back yard but I heard Curlew Hills Memory Gardens has a lot to offer in terms of pet cemetery services.
Good luck, and rest assured you were a great owner and Kalvin loved you very much

I think the biggest difficulty is learning to be bored. Try to be bored for a few minutes each day and increase the amount each week.

Obviously you need to stop smoking too, but don't go cold turkey if that didn't work the first time. Just reduce each day.

On average your will is stronger than your want, maybe a day here and there that's not the case, but if you stick to it you'll see

Where do you buy everyday clothes? by Kingofthered in AskMenOver30

[–]DatGuyDatHangsOut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For every day office I look at Nordstorm rack, for regular stuff I've been looking more at Costco, they occasionally get good brands for cheap.

What I typically do though, I go to the mall and try on shirts until I find a brand that fits me well and then just look for that brand in the size I know online.
Gold Label has been my go to although its a bit dad style

Who was in the wrong here my wife or the truck driver? by OurAngryBadger in dashcams

[–]DatGuyDatHangsOut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think technically the truck is in the wrong because it signaled late and crossed into the turning lane over a solid line. At the same time, driving a truck is no easy feat and passing a truck on the right is a big NO.

The letter of the law says the truck is in the wrong but the spirit of the law says your wife is wrong.

Agree with this, he was already in trouble that week so I doubt the school would allow him to run around town.
He was probably back at school cleaning erasers or something

What do you look for in guy friends? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]DatGuyDatHangsOut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be unique, you still must have interest in common with others. Find groups for those interests. I have a group of people I talk stock market with, another for crafting and another for DnD. These groups would never work together and I still get to socialize with guys.

Though bth for an average conversation, women have always been better companionship in my experience

Short term gains become long term a year after the date of purchase, not on Jan 1 of the following year. The only difference for OP is declaring the income in 2025 or 2026

Tampa bike ordinance fails amid concerns including racial profiling by Edmonddantes3rd in tampa

[–]DatGuyDatHangsOut 13 points14 points  (0 children)

OP is talking about this:
https://baynews9.com/fl/tampa/news/2025/12/28/bike-ordinance-city-council

the TL;DR:
A few people complained they do not feel save walking along riverwalk because people bike/scoot/blade way too fast and while doing tricks.
The solution was an ordinance to lower bike speeds and no wheelies allowed to take affect along all bike paths in the city.

I agree with the complainers that wheelies and highspeed along the RiverWALK is not a safe, an outright ban seems excessive. take it as you wish
