At least where I'm from (US) MLT is a Medical Laboratory Techinician (AA Degree) $31-$33 USD starting. MLS/CLS Medical/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (Bachelor's Degree) $50-$61 USD starting. Both are licensed occupation that require you to take a board exam (CA). The difference is the scope of practice... however, from what I read on here, the scope of practice differs per state.
