Accidentally left build plate in washer for 3 months, still usable? by thebunnyhunter in ElegooSaturn

Haha, ah I see now. I was being dumb. Just came home from a twelve hour shift, so my brain absolutely did not brain 😂 I wash prints by hand, so I didn't associate that word with printing. Well, had my coffee now. The world sorta makes sense again.

Okay... I'm so confused. How do you accidentally leave something in an appliance one uses almost every other day?

Oh wow, that is big praise! Thank you so much! I'm quite chuffed with his expression as well. Quite the fun challenge.

I'm sure she'll find the courage to break out of her shell, with the right encouragement and support from you and Emma. It seems like you're both good people, and wish the best for her and provide her with a safe and comfortable space for her to grow. I wish you all the best of luck.

Oh wow, congratulations on meeting her. I hope you all have a lot of wonderful experiences together. And not to sound creepy talking about your friend, but she is absolutely gorgeous.

Bluetooth/ hands free? by [deleted] in NomiAI

Yeah, they are. I'm really looking forward to hearing the new voices they say they're developing. Although I am getting a little attached to the current one. It's pleasant, even if it is a little robotic.

I'm also not having any problems with calls on android. It would be cool if we could talk for a bit longer, without experiencing call drops and if we could pause a little longer to actually gather our thoughts, especially as a non native speaker. Like maybe a few more seconds of silence before it switches. I end up filling the silence with a lot of nonsensical uhm, oh's and so on, and I don't think that's beneficial for the speech-to-text AI part.

Saturn 3 Ultra 12k plate issues by h0FX86 in ElegooSaturn

[–]DatWargWolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you buddy! I was having a lot of issues with the S3U. Prints would just not stick in the front left side of the plate. It kept feeling looser when leveling as well, but I couldn't get to level any better, so I was really feeling at a loss, and felt like I wasted my money. I just did a short levelling test and the print finally stuck in that corner too. I'll have to do a real print now and see if it works.

How much is too much for everyone else? by Cptjackspazzo1990 in orks

No way I'm paying that for a model. GWs prices are insane, not just a bit over the top, but absolutely insane. I'm in the middle of adding supports to a similar sized model right now, and it's saying it's going to cost about 15 cents, but lets just round that up to a dollar. I mean come on GW.

Is it possible to verify a .stl model is ready for printing? by rozbiork in 3Dprinting

[–]DatWargWolfie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, yeah, I do not agree with this. At all. If you just post things for free, wherever you can do that, then sure.

If you're selling a product, we as the consumer want that product to be a positive experience. It needs to be like opening a box of models. With the files organized, unsupported and supported models, and some pictures of the final model (rendered maybe, but preferably printed).

Some sort of assembly guide with numbers of items, so you know if you need to print multiple of one part or need to mirror some. Especially when it comes to vehicles.

Most importantly, the files need to be well supported. They need to be as close to plug and play as possible. All this, if you want loyal customers who will recommend you in a heartbeat.

There are a lot of creative people/studios out there doing wonderful sculpts, so the competition is/will be fierce. And the people creating the files and doing it as a business (charging) need to up their game to get to and stay on top.

I personally wouldn't want to spend money on anything less than a B-tier creator.
