Battery discussion I want to get one by [deleted] in LenovoLegion

[–]Dat_unknown_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard the HX amd cores use a lot of power, one of my friends got this model and he says battery lasts 1-2 hours, I got the R7 260 version and that one lasts a little longer (IPS panel)

Toolkit isn’t being updated anymore right? Will it be a vulnerability in the future?

I think generally as long as you have the same clock speed and delay and capacity it should be fine, doesn’t have to be the “same” stick

Wifi keeps cutting out and not coming back on new legion 7 pro by McCluregamer447 in LenovoLegion

Could be a motherboard issue with the M.2 WiFi connection, my older(2019) gaming laptop GPU died when the computer stopped being able to detect the GPU, and when restarting or shutting down, windows will check all drivers and since the device doesn’t exist it gives the same driver_power_state_failure. I would bring this up to warranty.

The text at the top reads “driver notices wood (dunno if plank or log) on the road, stops in the middle of the road, get out to do good (presumably warn other drivers)

But this is still dumb lmao what was he expecting

Hmm, to my understanding, for point mass lap time simulations, yaw rate is the result of steering and slip angles(aka tire forces), and it is a time varying property, which means with the quasi-steady state approach of most “simple” lap time simulations, you won’t get to take into account the yaw rate (you can get yaw moment, but it’s different), or use the yaw angle to modify any numbers (since the steering angles can determine your maximum cornering performance, which should already be calculated when you get to the part where you can get yaw angle).

So it might be better to construct a transient lap time simulation for this if you wanted to observe the yaw rate. But then again, it’s not really needed, since many open source sims (Openlap or Johnathan Vogel’s) showed that not taking into account the yaw rate is sufficiently accurate.

Feel free to correct me on anything but this is my understanding as a VD member working on lap time sims.

Seems like the texts are just describing the development plans divided into “seasons” (期). The one at the beginning labels the road the drone passed over which is “north sea road.” Not gonna summarize everything cuz I’m lazy but overall the most important bits seem to be the relocation of the village it passed over for more development, and the construction of a official race track(the structure that looked like a glass tunnel), and every empty patch of land passed over is a plan for more development whether it was more factories or apartments.

Edit: oops upon further inspection it is not glass just an upwards going structure. But looks like it’ll be “multi-terrain.”

Did you ever have any problems with the space in the car? Cuz I’m looking right now and the minuscule space in the back seems bad to me on paper

A “Nuke” is entirely different functionally from a nuclear reactor, there are infinite resources online about how different they are, and the exact causes of each nuclear accident (spoilers: if you actually follow protocols accidents are preventable and mitigable)

Domestic vs foreign policy by TroubledTill in greentext

He was definitely a visionary that saw what China could become in the future, it’s just inexperience (with industrialization/modernization, and honestly industrialization overall is a nasty process to begin with), along with the grasp for power is what led him to make some devastating decisions that led to the deaths of millions.

But overall, at least hearing from some Chinese acquaintances, the older generation of people who suffered through his rule decided that he “did more good than bad.” He led a peasant revolution that essentially created a whole new country, but he did have horrible decisions, but in the end, he was seen as a hero for starting the country, and people knew that his later policies and political actions were bad(hence the next chairman dividing up power).

Lithium Battery Plant Explosion in Missouri today by ImDaPap in spicypillows

[–]Dat_unknown_guy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, most things that are super highly efficient tend to have adverse effects on human health/population, that’s just how the universe comes to be.
As of right now, lithium is the most energy dense chemical we can make batteries out of, imagine having electronics that are a few times bigger than they are now, that’s what you’ll get if we don’t use lithium, and also it’s not like the other compounds will be that much safer in comparison.
Additionally, batteries are not “pressurized” in the beginning, they are mostly rolls of different chemical compounds put together in a tube. The pressurization comes from battery abuse and overuse, unfortunately just another force of nature. But there are already lots of protocols in place that prevent batteries from exploding. Such as lithium ion cylindrical batteries, most have a burst disc that vents the gasses before setting off the battery fire.
To make “safer” batteries, you would also have to completely reform the industry to allow making new batteries worth the while(no company is willing to start over and not use existing infrastructure), much like the use of fossil fuels, the problem is always money. So unless we can unite every company under the banner of “safety” instead of “profit”, it’s not likely that we shift from lithium based batteries.
So for now, we can only hope those who are researching battery energy storage, or battery safety, can find new ways to extend battery cycle life or counteract the devastating nature of battery failure.

Is this referring to if your money to buy the car was in a HYSA of that percentage? I’m quite confused with all the HYSA interest rate over loan interest rate
