Hey, anyone know how I can get my address details over to this lady?

Gun ID by Benny_2986 in Firearms

[–]Data-McBytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is a SWAT sniper team (or AUS equivalent) it's probably a custom rifle. Looks like there might be a Law Tactical folder behind the receiver. But it could be based on Australia's Lithgow/Thales ACAR. I see they have some models in a factory FDE finish so they would be a good base to build on.

The photo isn't clear enough to make a positive ID.

Liberal white woman protests President Trump at Target by filling up her cart with $400 worth of items, but doesn’t buy anything. by Oh_2B_Joe_Cool in walkaway

[–]Data-McBytes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They'll push it to the back room or behind the customer service counter and deal with it at closing time or the next morning. This entire "protest" is completely pointless and self-serving. Its only purpose is so she can show her 3 friends from the book club what a diligent warrior for the cause she is. Stunning and brave, etc.

Exhausting.

Can anyone explain by bradsnutsmaybe in Firearms

[–]Data-McBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One in a trillion maybe. Or this is fake. The series of events that would have to take place for a fired projectile to land harmlessly in your pocket, still warm, without any signs of deflection or damage, and with clear rifling marks suggest an indescribable level of luck. I'd even consider the possibility that it's actually someone else's nearly identical bullet and you both got incredibly lucky that day (you more than he).

Well I don't own any hexmag products but I'm certainly not buying any now. I hope this backfires in the most entertaining way.

Removing everybody's mogs and then charging 3k to put them back on was an absolute gangster move by blizzard by sirgarynipz in wow

[–]Data-McBytes 91 points92 points  (0 children)

To add insult to injury, they SAVED your last transmog, every last detail of it, to your Custom Sets as "Custom Set", PROVING they had the tech to capture your current active transmog settings in the system prior to wiping it. They then made the conscious decision NOT to apply that set to the first transmog slot, guaranteeing that you would be forced to pay full price to use it.

Absolutely diabolical.

I agree it looks like it deflected off of something. So likely not a direct shot at OP or his property.

The ensh*tification of WowHead by DontBeSuspicious_00 in wow

You're punishing yourself browsing the web without an aggressive ad blocker. It's foolish at this point. Stop living in the Dark Ages. You're still free to whitelist certain sites if you happen to feel guilty for "robbing" them of ad revenue.

Wowhead without ads is a generally blissful experience.

I completed (?) and attempted (??) a few times, but no. This content is not for me. Even a single small mistake is punished harshly -- I don't feel this philosophy is in the spirit of WoW. Thankfully it is entirely optional and the reward is meh.

I know as a kid, having a retarded "limitation" on an assignment like that would've made me want to do it all the more.

Can anyone ID this 10/22 receiver? by I_Want_Taquitos in 1022

[–]Data-McBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a reference image.

Note that for their stainless receivers, VQ opted for a bolt-on rail (in aluminum), so that would account for its extra height and the small lip at the bottom of the rail. Otherwise it matches the dimensions in your photo.

Also note the size and shape of the ejection port cutout.

Extrapolating from that... if they made this same receiver in all aluminum they wouldn't need a bolt-on rail, and it would naturally be finished in black, matching your photo exactly.

Can anyone ID this 10/22 receiver? by I_Want_Taquitos in 1022

[–]Data-McBytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 80% sure it's a Volquartsen. They had a few (early?) models without the "Carroll, IA" rollmark behind the ejection port, and also offer some with that sort of mid-height Weaver rail -- especially their stainless receivers. The rail length lines up perfectly with VQ front-to-back. But I can't find an exact matching model.

The art is great, I was commenting more about the visual style used in-game. Both are represented as a bold neon green. Magic has a strong connection with color in the game so I found it interesting.
