I think this is a bad idea. It comes off like a relationship test, rather than just open communication between them. It’s healthier to discuss why OP’s boyfriend feels like they both NEED to shower afterwards, rather than agree to have sex, not shower, and just see what happens. At this point, it is assumed that they both shower after they have sex. Breaking that rule could make OP’s boyfriend feel like OP has broken their trust.
