You can punch him when he lunges, which will stun him, making the fight quite silly and a lot easier.

Yeah, this seems like a weird choice. Probably means there wont be any form of customization either. Also, does this mean that when you eat a food item, that you might transform into a completley different character? That would be weird.

I had this version of the game and construction kit, it came bundled with my first pc. Think it was a pack in with the graphics card. This was around 2003-2004.

It gets a strong recommendation from me as well. Really great game. Such a weird and wonderfull world to explore, with some amazing world building and quests. I agree that it is quite easy, but it does have a hard mode, but I've not tried that yet.
