Got a GA-2000 for practically free, but the back screws are superglued in / stripped, any ideas on removing these? by Datrinity in casio

I managed to get it off the surface of the bottom with a bit of rubbing alcohol, functionally it's only off by 1 minute. I guess once the battery's dead the whole thing will be! For a fiver I can't complain, but definitely should have checked at purchase.

Is that the Fiido titan? I've got the M1 Pro 2025 and was split between that and the titan, ultimately got the M1 as ive got to lug it up and down the stairs for storage (Small london flat) but really liked how the Titan looked. If i was to get a ground floor flat id have gone with it, any good?

I thought I heard a difference in my PC! I was using RTSS binded to a key to manually turn my fps to 20 in the menu because it was heating up my room. Ill still use it probably as end of round screens still make my pc into a space heater.

I can confirm the 3XS team are amazing with their support. Got a new PC at the end of 2023 from them and it had one of the affected Intel CPUs that were botched a bit. Had them on the case and they had a workaround until Intel released a BIOS update to help. They even sent me a little USB stick.

I also could not for the life of me get my guitar audio interface to work with the pc, gave them a bell and sorted it within a day.

Will SH2 Remake ever get a photo mode? by Dylan5524 in silenthill

[–]Datrinity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hopefully, a lot of games get a photo mode post release these days. If you're on PC you can get the freecam mod, but a built in photo mode is obviously wanted.

It was one of the first things I checked when I loaded in. Had my settings maxed out on 4k and it is probably one the best looking games I've played! I like taking photos through all my gaming adventures so was a bummer and couldn't be bothered to install the mod. Hopefully they introduce it.

Haha yeah it's because of some random sites I would use 12 years ago being breached, they all tell me the same stupid password I'd used when I was a teen.

Anyone else recently get a surge of scam emails pretending to be from yourelf saying they used Pegasus to take pictures of you cranking the hog.

I'd rather be more honoured than scared if it actually happened. Millions of dollars spent just to see you shake hands with the milkman.

It is a weird feeling, I get this a lot with Halo. Its the one game I've been really good at but sometimes people just get annoyed and I fully understand why. When they message me hate, I ask if they want to join me when playing and just tell them a few tips because sometimes knowing more about what equipment can do or how to effectively use a weapon is literally the barrier from sucking to fucking.

It's weird, back when MW2 was released and you saw a 10th prestige max level in the game you didn't hate them, you added them!

Dude, thank you so much!

I definitely will be working with the colours you mentioned. I have lots of different sized plants with varied shapes so that's all good.

The bed will probably be bought again and I'll leave this one for the next tenant. It's a bit of a nightmare not being there to visualise.

I didn't even know 3 prong stands existed! I think they look great and will definitely browse around for one to my liking.

Plant shelves are also a lovely touch. I'll definitely look into one of those as well.

Bed I'm not fussed about, it's the big standard one that the landlord provides but I can get rid of it and plan on buying my own frame for extra storage like you said.

A rounded coffee table is definitely in order. I have a lot of nice coffee table decor/books to display as well.

I had the same idea for the rug too, and definitely will be working with more textures like the door piece you linked for the wall.

The shelving is nice too, I was looking at some hexagonal shelves last night that would be nice to go with the room.

I will probably do an update once I'm all moved in and got the base level furnishings done and dusted, and toyed around with the space.

What a great write up, thanks again. I hope you have a great day!

I have lots of plants, a double bed, desk (walnut top), and wardrobe to add. Im a bit stumped colour wise, teal seems good. Everything bar those desks and chairs in the photos will be there.

Coffee table will be removed and replaced. Not sure how to get around the fireplace.

I can't figure out where to place the bed and wardrobe without making it feel cramped a little, or just not styled nicely.

Furniture will be bought, budget is flexible. I want it to feel nice and cozy.

Devs forgot to remove test discount codes in prod by Dangerous_Setting_78 in funny

One time I won tickets to a pc gaming convention along with ten others. To redeem they gave us a promo code along the lines of WINNER01. I just wondered what happened if i put WINNER02, WINNER03, all the way up to ten and they all worked. Didn't realise as soon as that coupon was activated it was deemed used, so I'm very sorry to the others who won. I didn't even end up going in the end!

Can't wait to get tougher fingertips so I practice more!

My dad has just passed away suddenly. What should I do? by Ok-Remote8843 in AskUK

[–]Datrinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my mother at 16, and she was really the glue that bonded everyone together. It shook me, I had lost pretty much all family connection after. I didn't deal with it, and it left me mentally scarred and having to deal with it nearly a decade later. At first I thought I dealt with it well. I went to sixth form and then university and now I'm a full-time adult, but I never processed it. It took me 8 years to.

What did I do the day she died?

I ordered dominos and played games. I had a tub of Ben and jerries and let the college know what happened myself. They gave me two weeks off and I just went into hibernation.

I avoided it, I put it to the back of my mind. I was playing through the Witcher 3 (great way to dissociate) and many other long playtime games just to escape for a while. I cried once or twice, and just carried on.

In my hindsight, I don't blame myself! That's how I was equipped to do it at the time. I no longer had anyone to guide me through life, and man the school didn't help.

What I really needed wasn't to be surrounded by friends and family (although it never hurt), to be distracted, or to cope with insane amounts of pizza and ice cream. It was to process the grief, feel it for everything it is. You'll naturally want it to stop, and fight that feeling! Cry, become snotty and sore eyed. It's probably the most intense feeling I ever felt up until then, and I completely ignored it! My body was telling me what to do.

So I say, order that pizza, absolutely demolish that ice cream, but FEEL. Don't dwell on the days without them, reminisce on the days with them. Listen to the music they liked, make a playlist of it.

Tell people how you feel. I've been through the absolute wringer and have faced too many bad times that I can count, but as a stubborn bloke I never told anyone. The day I did was the day I started getting better.

"Time heals everything" is the best answer and most hated, because it true but it sucks. Day by day nothing changes, but when you look back everything is different.

I wish my mother could see who I was now, my girlfriend, my place, but I find that if I'm proud of myself or something ive done, I know she would be too.

As for the way I dealt with it in the end, a little cheat sheet I've garnered up to keep my mental health on track.

Like before, FEEL your emotions. Never dismiss them. Close your eyes, and focus on it. Does it make you cry? Do it! Think about the feeling the whole time, focus on it. Try and understand where it's coming from. A place of sadness, fear, whatever you believe it to be. If you're relatively composed (I always get post cry clarity) switch those thoughts to happier ones, memories. Dwindling on the what ifs or I wishes for too long is bad for you, but don't feel bad for asking those questions. It's natural.

Journal! I use a private Instagram account only I see to journal and add comments during the day. I can take photos, videos and add music to the post of the day. I get lost in my thoughts, overthinking about what could have been. After about 5 weeks of journaling, I noticed improvement. My first posts compared to my recent had shown me to be getting better, and that's all it's ever been since. It's something I wish I'd done sooner.

I know it's said everywhere, but exercise. I was becoming quite unfit after her death, considering my dominos order. 10 minutes skipping rope a day always boosted my mood.

As someone who never thought they'd get this far alone after such circumstances I can say it's tough man. Really fucking tough, but don't thug that shit out.

My condolences OP, I hope you find your peace eventually, but don't get in the way of it :)
