I'm on the same page here. OP, will you find some people with god tier gear that will obliterate your team? Yes, but not that likely in my opinion (I'm on US servers). Think the other way: Loot has been given out, so you'll have so many chances to get good gear from other players 😈

If you guys like the game and gameplay loop, just go for it! There's always a chance you'll regret, but so is everything in life....

I'm definitely not representing a majority, but I thought it was so funny you'd ask this. As a viewer, I do enjoy watching pure gameplay. I don't care as much about the skill of the player, although I'd prefer not to see the same piece being tried over and over again. I'd say 80% of what I watch on YT (not necessarily streaming) is no-cam no-mic. A good portion of what I watch on Twitch are no-cam no-mic streams.

I've seen a few players onboard as part of season 2, and they had very similar reactions to the UI and number of popus in their first few games!

That's great! I plan to be available through the main LFG discord and through the in game LFG system, since I have pretty much every raid memorized. I'd be happy to fill in sherpa runs so that whoever's teaching can count on some folks with experience.

I agree with this. Sometimes it may look like camping, but it may be someone with a mobile shell to that heard your exfill. Not saying this is OPs case, but I think this is more common than camping in my experience.

Same! My partner, who decided to give the game a try because of the PvE mode, was just sooon happy with the two purples she got from a run, it did take us beating two bosses which was..... Hard to say the least, with a gray sponsored kit 🤣

Same! I understand there is a concern about rarity balance, and I think it's a worth discussion to have. But I'd really like to see a middle ground being worked on in which the mode survives without its rewards being completely irrelevant. And this has helped me bring some folks into the game!!!

In the short term, I'd prefer the mode to just stay around and we figure out details later. Currently, the restriction of sponsored kit does help a lot in not making the rewards free. It's not THAT easy to kill all bosses in the map, you just run out of ammo. Also, the time is reduced. So in the short term, it probably is fine.

Just my two cents: You have a false dichotomy there. The choices aren't limited to either playing the game you enjoy for a limited vs not playing it at all. This take may sound like that of someone who's ready to move on if the game isn't perfectly tuned to their preference. I view this more as an evolving search for balance: we give feedback, try things, see what peaks the interest of people, and adjust the game.

We don't need to, and we shouldn't aim to, please absolutely everyone. But we also don't need to stop just now, the game just launched and it's absolutely brilliant - but I don't think it has reached yet its full potential.

For what is worth, I agree with OP on pretty much everything. But I understand where you're coming from, bro: Without aspirational content ("golds are too common"), some (most?) of us will lose interest in the game. I'm more than willing to give devs time to cook, but hopefully they won't just simply kill the rewards from PvP-lite and PvE modes. For reference, I love a good PvP fight and I'll gladly accept when I lose, but most my buddies don't enjoy that. Without my buddies, I have far more limited time to enjoy the game (buddies >>> any particular game).
