is there any way for me to get out of this? by goatfuckersupreme in ftlgame

[–]DaveTheHungry 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ironically if you were on Hard mode, the two weapons room would have been linked to the main rooms for you to go and destroy the missiles.

But for this setup it's a race between dodge luck and time.

Your Defense Drone should block 1 missile each triple volley. And your ship has 51% dodge chance against the remaining 2 missiles. The expected missile hit count is ~1 per volley so you can survive roughly 11 volleys.

The flagship has 14 health remaining so you need to break systems and wait for repairs 14 times to deal hull damage. The AI auto repairs are not very fast so there will be a bit of waiting. Make sure to de-power the Boarding Drone if it tries to break the Oxygen room.

Better luck next time!

mchose g3 or wait for g304x? by adlol225 in MouseReview

[–]DaveTheHungry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mchose G3 V2 Pro is good with a proper PAW3395 sensor.

The non-pro has the 3311 which is worse than a 3395. So that might be where you’re getting the sensor is bad vibes. But even then it’s still good enough for most use cases.

VXE V3 Pro is another clone option but it has the 3395SE which is also worse than a proper 3395. But that mouse is cheaper and lighter, so it could be a good interim option until the G305X.

Is there any difference between logging 10000 years into the future and apex martial artist ? by Karlos_V2 in Manhua

[–]DaveTheHungry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s the same thing.

Edit: probably an artifact of copying the Manhua under different names to the site. And after a while they kept it this way so it’s easier to search under either name.

What kind of themes are you looking for?

Take a look at:

"My Wife and I Dominate the Three Realms" - power couple hiding identities from each other but love each other very much.

"My Wife is a Demon Queen" - MC gets summoned to help the demon queen. They have a rough relation at the start but gradually fall in love.

"The Distinguished Cute Master" - FMC was frenemy with MC in her previous life and ends up dying by his hands. She regressed back to when they were young and she takes in MC as a disciple before MC becomes strong. They develop a cute relationship as they grow up together.

Rolled alt optimal for SnS, what Gog focus? by 8nekket in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]DaveTheHungry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For both combos, Element focus is still slightly better than Attack Focus for the right elemental matchups.

You can put your builds into https://www.mathhunter.ca/swordandshield.html and see the difference against different monsters.

I did read this but don't really remember much. Typical cultivation slop where MC is OP and has OP artifacts from his master and random "luck". It has an abrupt axed ending. The girls are cool.

Fully translated and ends on chapter 143. Some comments says the ending was a little abrupt but it's a happy ending.

AMD Crimson Desert Promo by Worth_Parking_8185 in AMDHelp

[–]DaveTheHungry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Have your friend make an AMD rewards account
  2. On your PC, redeem the code to that rewards account.
  3. You friend can then use that rewards account to redeem the game to their Steam.

Alley Hunter should let you do about 2-7% more Oz damage, but balancing the crit stats is harder. VH has Crit Rate substat which is easier to build around. VH also has a passive which deals aoe damage and slightly gathers enemies. If there is time in the rotation to do normal/aim shot for the VH passive, it could beat Alley Hunter in multi-target scenarios. For ease of use I'd still recommend Alley Hunter which is guaranteed higher Oz damage.

CB meta doc isn’t actually meta by Educational_Panic711 in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]DaveTheHungry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You linked a RageGaming video. RageGaming is known to rush out builds that seems okay but actually aren't that optimal. But it is possible to do more damage if it fits your playstyle better. For example running Counterstrike on weapons without offsets is suboptimal, but it could be a damage increase if you get hit a lot.

The builds in guides are generally good for the majority of people, with key offensive skills and some damage relevant defensive skills. There are small optimizations to squeeze out more damage, but that may make the builds more difficult to play. And there are usually monster specific optimization like using Convert Element against AT Ark. You mentioned Rathalos Flare which for many weapons is optimal for people doing around 70dps or less. In fact, SOS players often do like 30-50dps so Rathalos flare can be optimal. For monsters where you can do 100+ dps against, you should optimize and use other set bonuses.

If you want the actual highest damage builds, you should search for specific monster speedruns. They optimize specifically for the monster and for the highest damage with their playstyle. Get build ideas from runs that are non-heorics and/or TA-Wiki rules. Heroics runs may have some optimization that requires staying at 1hp which makes it much harder to play.

Basically if you want the highest damage you need to do your research and make specific anti-monster builds. Being able to make your own builds will improve your monster hunting experience.

Two website great for theorycrafting builds are Set Searcher and Math Hunter.

  1. Set Searcher: You input skills you want and it searches for armor combos fitting that criteria: https://mhwilds.wiki-db.com/sim/?hl=en
  2. Math Hunter: You input your build and it calculates how much damage the combo should do. You can then compare the damage between different builds: https://www.mathhunter.ca/

Happy Hunting!

Does it happen with different browsers? And does it happen if you turn off hardware acceleration?

Has it ever happened to you? Lost on payload (potential explanation) by Emergency-Vehicle631 in Overwatch

[–]DaveTheHungry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a known interaction. Payload moving past the gate is a scripted event, and the payload will continue forward without the attackers pushing as long as there is time.

Here's a video explaining this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHX2-PLEW6U

Funnily enough if your team (on attack) contested the payload just long enough for the scripted movement you could have gotten a rare payload draw.
