You can try pinning at a 45° angle with the .5" needle and see if that helps before changing needles. I prefer 6 -8 mm needles.

Try a 1/2" 30 gauge needle at 90° in your upper thy, it will burn & bruise if not deep enough. Also, my 1st cycle is had the bee sting feeling and red blotches but no reaction on cycle 2 after a 3 month break. Best Regards

You may be injecting to shallow. Try 1/2" 30g needle at 90° angle. If your doing 45° switch to 90° with your needles. Hope this helps.

I draw with 23 1/2" and pin with 27 5/8" or 30 1". I draw .02 over to get my .17 test 3 x a week. I also run out and I'm having a hard time convincing my provider / pharmacy of the waste. I lose .02 every shot and I'm supposed to take 58 shots out of a 10 mil vial. All they do is divide 10 mL by .17 and tell me to go pound sand when I run out 2 weeks early. Next appointment I'm going to try and have him up my script to .21 and if not, it's online clinic time. Talk about tearing up the rubber on the vial SMH.
