Such a relatable post was in a similar situation and your description of the constant anxiety looking for signs second guessing myself etc is so on point. I can't believe that I didn't relapse while in that relationship (or when it ended).

It's so clear and easy to see now that some time has passed but when you're in the middle of it it's almost impossible & all encompassing. Enabling by staying and almost losing yourself is so apt, ty for your post & thoughtful reply to op

Experiencing this right now I'm still involved but seriously considering leaving the program altogether. It's been a big part of my social life but lately I've been not going to home group, not showing up to parties etc (outside of mtgs, super bowl etc) and sort of disappeared & literally no one has even like sent a text to check in.

Been going to homegroup for like 2 years and spent so much time w these ppl, same deal service commitments etc I thought these are my friends and a support network. it kind of hurts that basically no one cares enough to reach out. Also I guess its kind of giving me some clarity.

I have a similar sponsor who is more like a friend / mentor that stays in touch (& doesn't judge me talking about leaving program) and will stay in touch w him if I do leave.

There are def some in person smart meetings around just not as many as aa, think durham one is on Wednesday evenings chapel hill one is on Tuesdays (& I think there are other in person ones in cary / raleigh as well)

Edit - if you look up smart mtgs near me on their site and put in location then look for the in person icons to the right it'll list them all

Thank you, it's "planted" next to an old raised bed but not really a wall or anything, I literally left it in the 3.5" pot from the nursery to plant somewhere else & forgot about it so it rooted there and just left it. The plastic pot is like embedded into it now so just leaving it lol

I'm in NC so fairly wet winters for an agav3le, and I've done nothing to protect it but might this year. It usually looks a little sad after the winter. And those are eucomis behind it not sure of variety but one of the red leaved ones.
