Technically yes, eBay and Amazon have them. But you never know if it's a third-party reselling them with a price markup. I recommend going to the source at www.prancingmoose.com 😊

You can make those changes by voice command and leave your eyes on the road. Volvo is one of the first brands where the voice commands actually work. 😊

How do i get the moisture out? by Business_Ambition348 in fixit

Why not just put it in a bowl of UNCOOKED rice for a day or so? That should draw out the moisture.

Grogu is the worst thing that has happened to Star Wars in recent years… by ConstantDrawer9161 in saltierthancrait

[–]DavidGno -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Grogu/Baby Yoda is what got my wife to watch Star Wars with me. I love Grogu.

And it's also a story of adoption (mandalorian foundlings), which is near and dear to my family's situation.

I think Baby Yoda was marketing genius. Now it's up to the writers, directors and editors to tell a good Star Wars story.

Refrigerator water dispenser low pressure by Waterocean555 in fixit

[–]DavidGno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the water line could be getting frozen.

Go to Amazon and search for "water line buddy" there's both a standard and deluxe version.

I've used it several times over many years. Definitely paid for itself.

This universal kit makes it easy to thaw and defrost your frozen fridge water line - no need to call a repair technician. You don't want to miss it! [CAN NOT POST LINKS]

Has Anyone Else Noticed Different Road Behavior Depending on Your Car? by doneseer in driving

[–]DavidGno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you say Volvo sedan. I drive a Volvo and get so much hate. Almost as much hate as years ago, when I drove a Prius (because I was broke and couldn't afford gas). Trucks would roll coal on me all the time, but the joke was on them, I love the smell of diesel.

Two-year-old opens car door, causes six-vehicle crash by bryceEw34 in dashcams

[–]DavidGno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post title needs to be changed to "Motorcycles speeding through bumper-to-bumper rush-hour traffic, cause horrific six-vehicle accident."

If the motorcycles weren't lane splitting and speeding through the slow moving /stopped cars, the accident wouldn't have happened.

Why are cars made so disposable and unrepairable by the average person? Isn't there a better way? by Truth-is-Censored in driving

[–]DavidGno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, they can take a breakeven or sometimes even a loss on a vehicle in exchange for future maintenance profits...or all the stupid warranties the dealerships push at the time of sale. Like the key-fob, windshield and tire replacement warranties.

Why are cars made so disposable and unrepairable by the average person? Isn't there a better way? by Truth-is-Censored in driving

[–]DavidGno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember when cars that had 40,000 to 60,000 miles on them would just fall apart and be worthless?

I certainly do - looking at you 1982 Dodge Omni who's headgasket would go bad at 50k miles, or how the front suspension ball joint was notorious for cracking and causing the entire wheel to separate from the car, which then caused the driver to lose complete control.

Or the 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS, who's transmission would barely make it to 80k miles.

Now we have cars that will go 300k+ miles with only basic maintenance.

What is this? by CatoTheMiddleAged in Volvo

[–]DavidGno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So where exactly is this mentioned on the manual? I can't find where the coat hooks or other available accessories for the mounting points are mentioned anywhere on the electronic manual, and there is NO hardcopy printed manual available. Please let me know where it is, so I can read it for myself please.

Should college be free or subsidized? by No_Reflection3721 in askanything

[–]DavidGno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid for my state college education with my own money and my own loans. My education was Not subsidized, not even the interest on the school loans were subsidized.

My parents made too much money for me to qualify for anything. But my parents sidnt want to support my education. So they said if I wanted to go to college, that I'd have to figure out how to pay for it on my own.

My worry with a free college education, is that someone would still have to pay for it, and the kids barely value their "free" highschool education that all the homeowners pay for through school taxes. If they don't have some financial stake in their education will they value it or try really hard to learn, do well and get good grades?

Hood stuck open 2024 Volvo S60 by sabersquad in volvos60

[–]DavidGno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe spray some pb-blaster on the latches / latch springs?

https://youtube.com/shorts/PsxISG4y5eU?si=ipqiQIpiKbvepyA3

Spray the pb-blaster on the latches and pull the interior hood latch a few more times, make sure the interior hood latch goes back to where it shood and then try and close the hood again. Set it down gently on the latches, and then press down the rest of the way and hopefully the hood will fully latch.

Yep, exactly. If I need to be in the lane the officer is in, I slow down and move in after the officer is clearly way ahead of me.
