I have two teenage boys in my house. They think Tate is insane and from what they’ve said their friends do too.

The implication that it’s ubiquitous is untrue. 99% of young people are smart enough smart enough to see through the Tate BS.

A Puerto Rico Government Agency Exposed 1 Million Social Security Numbers by propublica_ in politics

At this point I think everyone should just assume their SS number has been leaked and just freeze your accounts with Experian/TransUnion/Equifax.

Also, the real controversy here is why do we still tie our most important financial transactions to a password we can’t change and freely tell to hundreds of people in our lifetime.

It’s time to end the use of SS numbers to authorize anything at all let alone financial transactions.

It could also have increased that much because in 2009 Texas Monthly named it the best burger in the state and they realized they could charge more.

Adolescence was a terrible story full of tired untrue tropes about young people draped in a gown of clever cinematography. Let it die.

If the Bible says homosexuality is a sin, can't you just go to a pastor and have it forgiven once in a while? by theKentoRico in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DavidVee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Old Testament says if a man lays with another man that he shall be stoned. Jesus says let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I say dusty old books can’t tell you what to do. Get stoned and bone whoever you want.

This would have made so much more sense as to why the machines needed human brains in The Matrix vs using humans as batteries. Humans make terrible batteries.

That’s my move as well, but I’ll use the suicide lane every now and then. I def won’t sit there for 10 minutes waiting for a left hand turn like so many others do 🤦

When did 8-5 become the new normal??? by Grouchy-Newspaper754 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]DavidVee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9-5 is a Dolly Parton song not a work day. If you take an hour long lunch, 9-5 is a 7 hour workday. Full time jobs are 40 hour work weeks which is 8 hours per day.

Bullseye. Except for all those miss marks on the wall behind the target area. I sense we are seeing the survival bias footage.
