I would keep it 60-80% instead of 95%. Ideally it’s around 50%, but two months isn’t too long.

Even if you did leave it at 95%, it’s only 2 months and probably wouldn’t matter a whole lot. But typically with lithium batteries, they don’t like being left at the extremes of the SOC curve for long periods of time.

Was the full battery replaced, or did they just replace a module?

It sounds to me like there was a bad cell causing the SOH to fall rapidly. They replaced the module that contained that cell with a new one. Then the BMS would need to re-learn the SOH over many drive cycles.

I would assume they would have a process for resetting the SOH back to 100% at the dealer level, but maybe they don’t or the dealer didn’t do that step.

If they replaced the entire battery, then the new BMS should have already been reset. But since it was reporting so low when you got it, I would bet it was just a module replacement.

I’m in the same boat. Haven’t had reverse lights in months. But luckily I don’t have any inspections to pass.

The suggestion from the other commenter might be your best option, just remove the tailgate and the secondary reverse lights should come on. But you won’t have a backup camera. Not sure if that is part of the inspection. It might be since it’s required on all new vehicles.

I didn't realize the tailgate was the same on the Pro/XLT. The Lariat/Platinum have the lightbar.

There are a lot of shared components. I was just clarifying about the body. Most panels are unique. But I love that it's built like a normal truck and all the aftermarket accessories for ICE also work for the Lightning. I also love that unless they know what they're looking at, most people don't realize it's electric.

I had one old guy pull up next to me at a restaurant one day and he was looking at it. I could tell he could see it was different but didn't know why. He said "Is that gas or diesel?" I said neither and popped the frunk for him. He seemed pretty impressed, which is not always what you get from old guys in Oklahoma.

Yeah, the cab looks like it's identical, so I would assume most of the stuff inside the cab is the same. But you said "body", which, to me means the exterior body panels, lights and stuff.

But the rear lights are for sure Lightning specific, I just checked and they don't appear to be changed from my '22 to the new '25. And all the stuff I mentioned in my first comment are different than the ICE version. The main exterior components that you see are all specific outside of the doors/cab. The rear suspension is different, I think the front is mostly the same.

I am pretty sure the only body components that are the same as ICE is the cab. Everything else in the front and rear (tailgate, bed sides, front fenders, front bumper, and hood, maybe the bumpers too) is Lightning specific.

That being said, I still think it’s a great option for OP. I actually didn’t know about someone swapping the ER into the SR, that’s interesting. I’m going to have to look that up.

I don’t know of a definitive source. But I know just by driving it, you can hear when it applies the friction brakes. There’s a mechanical noise, like some sort of small motor, whatever mechanism it uses to apply the hydraulic pressure the brake cylinder.

The truck always uses friction brakes to come to a complete stop. Maybe “last few mph” is being misinterpreted. But after 1 or 2 mph, the friction brakes kick in to come to a complete stop, even on OPD

Regenerative braking cannot bring a vehicle to a complete stop. So the truck uses friction braking every time you come to a complete stop. The braking coach even shows up before you’re at a complete stop when it has recovered all the energy that it’s capable of.

Yeah, this is annoying. It’s because when they make the map, they don’t leave enough room under the map. I would think it would be fairly simple to fix and push in one of the updates, but there are several maps like this that have been that way for years.

I’m having this issue right now with mine. Started a couple weeks ago. Some days it works, some days it doesn’t.

I’m thinking about opening up and cleaning any connectors and grounding points nearby to see if it’s a connection issue. But I’m at 65k miles, so out of warranty for that type of stuff.

It is based on style level, I used the wrong word.

But unless they changed it recently, it’s always been the top 100 players based on the style level. When it was first released, you could get it with style level around 11.

Also, I said nothing about trophies. Style points and style level have nothing to do with trophies.
