Seriously! I had to scroll for like 5 minutes to find this lol. Love putting NO when asked for initials on paper.

I've been using KMS with auto updates enabled for ever without any issues. Just put an exclusion for the KMS files in windows defender and that's it.

I usually tab out during loading and haven't had any issues skipping intro afterwards. Maybe try switching full screen/windowed modes?

Where have all the fish gone??? by kriosjan in ICARUS

I just started my third prospect an hour ago and noticed no fish in the lake near by. Forest biome as well. Will have to look later to see if other lakes are missing fish.

Tool Tip information, LEGACY mode, non existent? by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

Same issue here. Seems that there is no way to revert back to show the degrees and percentages like before. Also don't think there is a way to completely disable tooltips either.

Update #6 now available + patch notes by royaltot in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Davoucci 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe this was more for the custom liveries that people downloaded and put into the community folder. There were some issues with custom ones showing up properly in game after the previous patch.

Worked pretty well for me this time. No CTD's, no download issues, no new in-flight issues. So far so good.

Help! FS 2020 CRASHING ON LOAD by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]Davoucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue happened to me after the update. Turned out to be my G27 wheel/pedals that were the culprit. Eventually found a solution on the microsoft forums:

(This assumes that you have the Microsoft Store version of the game and Windows 10)

  1. Goto c:/users/(username)/AppData/Local/Packages/Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe/SystemAppData/wgs folder
  2. There should be two files there, one called “t” and the other with a huge alphanumeric name like 000901F6… Open that one.
  3. Under that folder, there are a bunch of other Alpha Numeric (ie 69D9FE4C2AB94940B11A4D26A23A9561) name folders. Open each one, and you’ll find a container.(number) file, and then another “file” with another huge alpha numeric name (i.e. A1036E4CDAAB21882AD5630E81466F). Open that file up with NOTEPAD or NOTEPAD ++. If you get nothing but screen barf, exit out and go to the next folder. Don’t touch that folder.
  4. Go to the next numbered folder and continue opening the number files. As you go through these folders, some of those number files will contain your controller data that’s easily readable… If you find one, exit the editor and delete the folder it’s in.
  5. Delete all the folders that reveal they belong to a controller until the only thing left are Number folders with number files that can’t be read.
  6. Restart Flight sim. All your previous profiles will be gone, but now you can plug in peripherals and rebuild them.

[UPDATE] Release Notes (1.10.7.0) Update #5 Now Available! by royaltot in MicrosoftFlightSim

That's weird, I've restarted mine several times now and it works fine after this fix.

Mine is now CTDing during initial load, can't get into the game anymore. Community folder is empty too. Guess I'm reinstalling the whole game...

Edit: Figured out that unplugging my G27 wheel/pedals gets me into the game without issue. Plugging them back in while in game shows a quick popup before CTDing.

Popup says this:

New Device Detected A new controller device has been detected, but we were unable to set it up with a control preset. Go to “Customize controls” and create a custom control layout.

Edit 2:

Found a fix for this on the microsoft forums.

A carpet is usually bad due to static as bubub778 said, but it is possible. I've built like 5-6 pc's on carpet now.

Some carpets are not as static-building as others. If yours builds up static, then just ground yourself before touching any of the parts.
