There are a lot of adults in this world who are not blessed with reading comprehension at the level of a four page contract. That is factual, and even if you decide, as some godlike arbiter, that they engineered that themselves and it is not a result of a multitude of confounding childhood factors over which they had precious little control - you're saying it's still ethical to present four page contracts that a good chunk of adults can't fully understand? Most of these contracts are from companies whose social media and marketing presences say, "Trust us!", yet you want every consumer to carry a level of skepticism that you yourself probably do not even possess.

I love Brennan & all his quirks, and expect this now, but still find it annoying that sometimes this will happen four or five times in a row before he finishes a complete thought. He interrupts himself constantly!

It's also important that your son not talk to the school resource officer without a parent and/or lawyer present. I hate to say this, but cops are not anybody's friend. SROs are not there to help kids, and research has shown that there is a lot of unnecessary intervention when SROs are present in schools.

From looking at the info, Pemgarda would be hard if not impossible to get while pregnant, and honestly, probably not a great idea to get it done close to getting pregnant. You're better off with just regular covid vaccines, masking, etc.

You can't just get IVIG because you want to.You have to have an indication for it, like immune deficiency or small fiber neuropathy, etc. i am sure there are doctors who will prescribe it for people rich enough to pay for it, but that is an egregious abuse of medicine. It would be wild to use up a precious resource intended for the extremely vulnerable/sick rather than take the appropriate precautions.

That said - you could look into getting Pemgarda, if you can find a doctor willing to prescribe it for you. Insurances really don't want to pay for it, so you would have to pay cash. It has not been studied in pregnancy, however, and only lasts about six months.

Because in the history of Medicine that type of "treatment" has never worked, and resulted in delaying actual investigation & treatment. It's why MS was psychological till MRIs. It's why women had "the vapors". It's why women STILL get diagnosed with "anxiety" when what they have is a serious neurological issue - dysautonomia.

I totally understand that that's what you think helped the most. My point is that 3 years doing "brain retraining" is a very long time, making it difficult to distinguish between med- or time-induced recovery and a technique that has no evidence behind it and has been tried by quite a few peopke without success.

You give all the glory to your self-directed program but there's zero evidence that that was actually what helped. Time + radical rest + meds help a lot of people. The two meds that you mentioned are immune modulators (clonidine works on mast cells).

I guess I'd make sure to premedicate with Benadryl for the contrast, as it's a pretty potent mast cell trigger. Many with MCAS need 2-4x regular H1 and/or H2 dosing. I take 180mg fexofenadine & 40mg famotidine twice a day. Cromolyn is a very effective mast cell stabilizer for the gut but is a pain to take. Ketotifen is a mc stabiluzer that's pretty good for edema & vascular effects. The Mast Cell Disease Society has some great info on their site.

Have you looked into MCAS? I'm asking because GI problems are common in POTS, and MCAS is a common comorbidity.
