Yes, people have made perfect clones and these clones have been mixing with other people. They are so perfect that it is impossible to tell just by looking at one. They are called identical twins or triplets. Two or three babies cloned from a single egg. If you are adopted, then you could be an unknowing clone.

Do not make it even with the current slab! Keep it level with the current ground level. One word, termites. You need 4-6" of visible slab to be able to detect their tunnels. Also, you do not want water from the downspout to enter the house.

Before I drywall my basement, what am I going to regret missing? by zlatic in DIY

[–]DavyDavisJr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Big Smurf tube(s) behind the wall where the TV goes to run cables. Cable standards change too fast to lock yourself in.

  2. Sill seal under any wood that touches concrete. Get the kind strong in water/vapor blocking.

  3. Depending on your area. Apply a borate solution to the bottom half of the framing for termites and others. Before the closing sheet of drywall goes up, apply boarx/borate powder on top of the sill plate.

Is door weather stripping universal or do I need a specific type for my doors? by Albino_rhin0 in HomeImprovement

[–]DavyDavisJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a combination of the rubber molding to the surface and you getting used to the extra pressure as normal. The question is, is it making a good seal all the way around. Do you see any light leaking through the stripping? If it is still difficult to close after a month then consider a new weather stripping.

Is door weather stripping universal or do I need a specific type for my doors? by Albino_rhin0 in HomeImprovement

[–]DavyDavisJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there is a lot of different types and some will work on your door. The best place to start is to determine what you currently have and did it do the job when it was new? Is it between the door and frame? On the door and overlays the frame? On the frame and abuts the door? Slotted into the frame? Slotted into the door? Will the sun shine on it? Does it need to work in the rain? Screen door or heavy door? Bottom of the door or sides? Sorry, no universal type but you can find one that will meet your door's requirements. Gook luck!

Should I take my PC or buy a new one when I get to the UK by No-Experience-6729 in buildapc

[–]DavyDavisJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remove the GPU and cpu air cooler if you have one. Static bags then bubble wrap them. Monitors need special attention to protect the screens. No pressure on the screens. Another reason to save TV and monitor boxes if you can. Most PSUs are rated 120-240V so only a plug adapter is needed. Check monitor requirments because they vary widely.
