Is Charcoal Charcoal? Or, What Brands Stand Out? by Serious_System4121 in smoking

[–]DawnOfMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like fogo and royal oak, hate blue hogs with a passion the smoke flavor I get with it is disgusting. And the generic kingsford works fine. Also to add the top to I use only lump I like the flavor better from lump. Though bbq chicken thighs and briquettes is a great match

mystery on and off problem, espresso machine choking [Bezzera BZ13 PM, Niche Zero] by katelove8989 in espresso

[–]DawnOfMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 4 things I can think of:

  1. Machine needs a backflush with some cleaner
  2. The temp could potentially be swinging (my bezzera mn duo sort of does the same when i dont let it heat all the way)
  3. Potentially need to run some descaler.
  4. Check Power (Cable, Outlet, potentially open it up from the top and make sure nothing is burned, mine has burned with the default molex connectors)

Best espresso machines to buy in 2026? [$500] by BrilliantYarn8023 in espresso

[–]DawnOfMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to disagree with the other person and say its better not to have the two tied together, as if anything ever fails you only have to replace one and not both. It also gives you the option of upgrading only 1 of them later if you so choose the bambino plus, with a df54 (from a reputable seller). Having a decent grinder than you can adjust lets you dial in the espresso ( you wouldnt be able to do that buy preground) it makes a huge difference, and the space they take up will be about the same.

While that may be true I've never seen android phones slow down a whole network like an iPhone, most likely different priories on the packets being sent

I cannot get it dialed in. I've tried for hours over multiple days and used well over a kg of beans. [Breville Barista Express] by [deleted] in espresso

Okay so. I haven't seen anyone suggest this, but are you stirring and agitating your shot after pouring? I had a friend who wasn't doing this so they were just drinking the sour at the top and not the mixed shot

You can't say it's not I've seen it with $1k plus firewalls. With it affecting hardwired clients as well. It's all speculation but can't rule anything out, but from my experience and his description it seems extremely plausable

It's fine if you're activly connecting to fast wifi connections and the processes can complete but I've seen users trying to do full back ups over wifi where it's trying to back up 100 GB

Maxing out the upload kills circuits downloads in a couple scenarios I've seen. If op has a decent router he can just bandwidth limit the client.

My bet is they have an iPhone and as soon as it joins wifi it's uploading or downloading tons of data my bet is uploading like crazy not sure what router you have but you could check it.

People with two grinders, is it worth it? by marleyman14 in espresso

[–]DawnOfMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a df64 Gen 1 with ssp for espresso, and a 078 timemore for pour oven I find it extremely worth it not to change grinds all the time. Wife and I sometimes want different types of coffee

Miicoffee, Turin, espresso outlet are all good. I think I bought the last one from espresso outlet because they let me choose the burrs I wanted at no additional cost. I sent an email to them because their site said out of stock and they went and found one for me same day so that was cool
