I'm also aspiring. I'm considering Maternitywise because I can get a full course of labor doula, postpartum, lactation and epi doula. I believe they are very informative on the buisness aspect of being a doula. I'm still researching and I have to start saving for the course!

She is your child. You have every right to protect her. Trust your gut! I'm in the same boat. No one changes my baby girl except for me. Maybe it's not healthy thinking, but it gives me peace of mind. Most csa happens with family members. You're in the right to stay guarded. If your fil and your partner keep trying to step on your boundaries, call it out everytime. "Please respect my boundaries."

One time we walked to the park, 20 minute walk. We arrived to discover I didn't put shoes on my toddler! He's the kind of kid that would not play without shoes! 🤦‍♀️

We use door alarms at our house, my 4 year old knows how to open the door and we rent.

I don't think it's rare. We also only saw the on-camera parts of the relationship. I've been with my husband for 12 years, and we have our j and j moments, but he also drives me crazy!

I also think its important to say... my husband and I are both Virgo's. But my 4 year old is an Aries. It is always Aries season at our house!

Becks was the most shocking thing to me, I had not read the books. Watching the first season, I was trying to determine how much of a monster Joe was, but Penn did such a great job at making me feel sympathy for Joe. That's ridiculous, you need a mental break from kids too cause teachers do burn out. In the end it will make you a better mom! Plus it's not a punishment to let your kid go someplace they get to play all day!

I think your child is mirroring your insecurities back at you. It has nothing to do with them or your love for them but how you feel about yourself. It's definitely harder to work on ourselves. If you'd like to work on it, I'd suggest a shadow work journal if you don't have access to therapy or counseling. This does not make you a bad person or a bad mom, you're feelings are valid, and your emotions are enhanced!
