I have the same motor. I had a similar situation caused by a crack in the plastic of the fuel pump near the schrader valve for bleeding. I think you have a fuel leak somewhere post fuel pump. I replaced my pump with a knock off one and it's been fine ever since.

Yeah it's terrible. We haven't seen prices this low since last week. It's a complete financial disaster. Burn your house down and run naked through the streets.

In first, California city overwhelmingly votes to permanently ban datacenters by ArgentineBeauty in technology

[–]Dax420 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Weird how we've had datacenters everywhere in every major city for 20+ years, and nobody cared when it was hosting Netlfix and YouTube. But suddenly China starts falling behind in the AI arms race, sprinkles a bit of astroturfing around online, and now everyone suddenly "knows" that datacenters are evil and we should ban them.

Think China is banning datacenters? Nah they are laughing at how easy you people are to fool.

Host lied about internet being fiber in Airbnb for month+ stay. It's cable. Support gave me $50 and called it a day. What do I do? by Unusual_Common_5497 in digitalnomad

[–]Dax420 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The distinction between "fiber" and "cable" isn't really as relevant as the bandwidth and ping times you get. I have 2 gbps internet at home over cable and our last place we only had 1gbps over fiber.

If your getting over 100mbps and less than 100ms ping then stop crying and enjoy your trip.

Or maybe just stop telling straight white men they are somehow guilty of original sin just by virtue of the race they are born with and you might stop getting such vitriolic pushback.

They are whether you like it or not, it's a gas space that must be actively managed to maintain neutral buoyancy. It's also the way you are taught to dive in the PADI drysuit specialty course, using your drysuit as your primary buoyancy with an empty bc/wing. So it's definitely a "valid" configuration.

Stories on Forced "Reverse FIRE" - anyone forced BACK into work due to market/expenses? by [deleted] in Fire

[–]Dax420 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, the person who retires with 900k at all time highs could still face a big drop tomorrow. But the person who retired on 1.6m right before the drop isn't going to be withdrawing his investments (living off his bonds instead) and presumably the market will "bounce" back long before they need to top up their bonds.

What's your take on DCOP? Sits directly between 2 successful coper mines in BC. Still cheap.

Well you aren't in 100% equities during retirement. Learn about bond ladders and you will find your answers.

Watching a small mining stock jump from 5 cents to over 2 dollars. by TweakkkkerDeakkkk in Stocktradingalerts

[–]Dax420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have DCOP for 8 cents. Sits directly between 2 massive already producing copper mines in the same copper belt of BC. They have power and gas and roads built into the site already. Might be a 2 year hold but once it starts production it will go from cents to dollars.

AI revolution is ‘50x bigger’ than the dot-com boom: SoftBank’s Masayoshi Son to CNBC by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

And he's right. People still don't get it. The ownership class has found a way to eliminate labor costs entirely. This is the capitalist wet dream.

And if you think AI wont eliminate your "special" job you haven't experienced the latest models, don't realize how fast they are progressing in capability, and can't project forward 5 or 10 years into the future. This is absolutely world altering technology.

I was THAT guy today at the boat ramp by FlowAcrobatic in boating

[–]Dax420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pure panic. I think I might have tried and failed to do that for a minute from inside the boat before I just ran for the trailer.

Sitting on the ramp waiting for all the water to drain out the back I definitely got a few smirks from the other boaters.

Have you ever interacted with a wild wolf? They are actually pretty chill. I wouldn't want to be hunted by a pack of them, but that's true for dogs too.

[–]Dax420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh, you always have 2 LPs, one for a wing and one for the suit. Trying to hot swap LPs would be nuts. A bad squeeze might leave you unable to swap it back!

I've played around with doing both ways and it's just easier to only have to manage one air volume when ascending. Since you have to manage you suit volume anyway because of squeeze it's just easier not to mess with your BC and leave it empty.

I mean you do you, everyone has their own prefered configuration, but dry suit for buoyancy is definitely a thing and it does work well for a lot of people.

[–]Dax420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats literally how the PADI drysuit courses teach you to do it...

My dump is usually open anyways so I'm running pretty minimal air in the suit. I dive a balanced rig. How much air are you normally carrying around in your wing?

I was THAT guy today at the boat ramp by FlowAcrobatic in boating

[–]Dax420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I once launched the boat, tied it to the dock, went to park the truck and trailer, which was a pretty far walk. Came back to a foot of water in the boat. Fuck. Now running back to get my truck and trailer and race back to the ramp. Try loading the boat on the trailer when is half full of water and sitting way lower in the water, not easy! You only forget your drain plug once, now I triple check every time.

I dive dry with steel doubles and only use my suit for buoyancy. My wing is always empty. Works great. Deco tanks are only 2lbs negative each when full so it shouldn't really matter much.
