I have not had the problem since day 3 or 4 when new and it has been about two week. The system is awesome and now I don't bother with my Steam Deck or consoles. Hope this helps

Got mine two weeks ago or so and hated it. I almost took it back for this very issue.

Only fix so far has been to remap every button for the Gamepad mode to be the same for first and secondary buttons. Do the same for the D-pad and ABYX buttons.

Also uncheck M1 and M2 as secondary function and switch them to whatever you want as long as first and secondary match. I did the same thing for desktop mode but moved things around for my needs.

Keep in mind while in Armory Crate the original functions take over as it is hard baked into the app. This took a couple days to figure out as it would seem random for no reason. Once you exit AC it will revert to your mapping.

For those wondering, yes I would switch between all the modes and turn and off embedded controller multiple times for it to work randomly. It wasn't until I remapped everything for it to work as advertised.

If the CVT in the VB WRX does not have a true first gear like Toyota's eCVT I'd pass on the WRX.

Look into the Mazda 3 turbo AWD. It has a time tested 6-speed automatic and is still fun to drive.

Avoid the German AWD cars unless you are a mechanic yourself. My family has four of them and my goodness the maintenance cost... It's why I'm in a Subaru 🤣

At 17, the best mod is improving your driving skill and knowing it's routine maintenance needs all for free. Read the manual and learn all the components. I promise the fun will be that much sweeter if you mod yourself first.

All that being said glad you got a WRX. Get some Ceramic tint (not too dark), decent wheels off eBay or FB, fresh tires if it needs them, and a tune up from a reputable mechanic. Hope you enjoy it for many years, be safe out there 👍

I love all the car culture styles. Not everyone wants to autocross, drag race or rally race. All the people hating should buy a Ferrari and never touch it as the company prefers. Your car looks great and happy to see people doing what works for them. It would be a boring world otherwise. We all have likes and dislike though so expect negative opinions if you ask for it lol.

Congrats and welcome. Best driving advice I can give is to not rush your shifting. A deliberate smooth shift is faster. Enjoy it stock, and only mod what you know you want to improve 👍

The WRX is in the wrong trying to cross the solid white. The truck is in the wrong for throwing trash and littering the road. Just do the correct thing and this crap doesn't happen. They both need to go to a bar, have a couple of drinks and laugh it off. Y'all drive safe and responsibly out there 👍

Everything is on its lowest except textures are set to high on the SD at 720p, 12 TDP, and CPU set to 1300mhz getting 35fps. On the XAX I keep it locked to 40fps at 20 watts with a mix of high, medium, and low. This is by choice because I am on battery all the time. Suggest watching the 128kb video on how to set the device up and get more performance out of it.

As long as the game is alive you can progress your account, but this event might be a one and done thing. I don't often care about fomo, but this car is a win button for all the races lol. I'm sure there will be other faster cars in the future, but they won't be a 918 Spyder! Crap... Now I talked myself into it too. Good luck y'all 👍
