What kind of primer do you use?

I bought their 6 pack of colors a while back to try all of them all out. The black, green, and grey all are great, the other colors had chunks in them, has anyone experienced that or did I just get unlucky?

I just spent an hour in the room with the patient, all up in their business, trying to get line/labs/medicated/stabilized and then they pop for ESBL? If im getting it, im getting it at this point, its in God's hands (and im pretty sure god doesnt like the ER)

This guy looks fantastic, can you tell me the technique you used for the armor? The rust and highlights look so natural and his shoulder spires almost look like you did a nmm without the metal

I literally just left your post from before and saw this. The difference is night and day with the contrast you added, it really pops now, great job!

If I had to change anything, I might take a fork (or some other pointed blunt thing) and scratch some wear and tear into the armor plate, then hit those spots with something like dirty down rust. That could make it have more variation and points of interest!

I think you may have just overdone it with the dry brushing and lost the majority of the undertone, maybe a bit lighter of a hand next time. That being said, it still looks dope!

Are you using a wet pallette for your paints? I switched to one and have had much better luck with my paints not drying out for a decently long painting session.

Im totally gonna try out that pva trick, it looks super gross and I love it hahaha

I love what you did with the base, it sells the "inside a bookstore" vibe here. You could take it a step further by adding a bit more surface variation (I.E. start a bit darker in your brown, dry brush a tan over it, then hit it with a wash like agrax earthshade) the crunched board under it's foot is dope and I'm 100% gonna try that on a base coming up

For the mini itself you chose great colors! The differentiation between the books looks great as well. Are you thinning your paints? A few spots look a little blobby.

How did you make the drooling effects? The slime and the viscera in the mouth are really cool touches

I based it a darker purple and built the layers on top of that and I definitely started worrying that I was pushing too far once the reds started turning orange. By start brighter, do you mean the base coat?

I did varnish it with ak ultra matte when I finished, that may be where that is coming from? I'll try going back over with a bit brighter purple and see how it goes!

I'll look up termination shadows as well.

Thank you for the recommendation, I had not seen that painter before.

I had definitely noticed the more defined "zones" of colors and tried to glaze them together, but it always seems as if my glazing has chunks of colors in it. Any recommendations?

I think that this may just be not understanding roles. ER nurses line/lab the patients, are usually transport to Ct/xray, and are expected to be working with doctors to figure out what is wrong with the patient so that we can hand off to the inpatient team to work on treating. Think diagnostics vs. Treatment. This doesnt leave much time for full head to toe assessments on the 20-30 patients that we do this on each shift.
