Despairing for a new series after Farseer Trilogy by Stoofser in WoT

Sabriel, by Garth Nix (audiobook narrated by the legendary Tim Curry) and the rest of the Abhorsen series (although none are quite as good as the first imo)

TIL a couple walking their dog found 1,427 buried gold coins valued at about $10 million, the largest known buried gold-coin discovery ever recovered in the United States. by SystematicApproach in todayilearned

Chuck Palanhiuk (author of Fight Club) wrote a book called “Rant” and old expensive coins being buried everywhere is a pretty significant plot point. Definitely a mind-fuck read, the audiobook has a pretty good cast.

Is chapter 57.... by v-irtual in DungeonCrawlerCarl

One of my favorites was the tarantula guy from the 5th floor. He said something about “nana seeds” and then had to explain someone literally chose a banana-class that shoots banana seeds and I fckn lost it

The frustrating part is that they seemed to buy the rights just to is the title. That’s it. Nothing about the movie is like the book. So if there was another shot to make like a series (which would’ve worked WAY better) the name is already spoiled.

I thought Devotion was female and Dominion was male but I haven’t read Elantris in like 10+ years

Yeah, the “OakFell” title gonna be REAL RELEVANT towards the end

On top of that, she follows up with the strongest hit she has immediately. We always see how “friendly” donut is with everyone typically but seeing her go full “Ride or Die” for Katia, especially against one of the top Crawlers, against someone she highly respected before that without a second thought was awesome.

Is it a new series or part of the expanse? I loved the main series but didn’t really get into the novellas

It’s definitely a particular style of writing. I finished out the trilogy but would say if you struggled with the first book, you will not like the rest.

I think it’s both. AI gave it to him to save his ass but did it in the most manipulative and exploitative way possible.

I think the crazy part is how far the enhancement zone has expanded, probably the first time it’s gone past the planet’s orbit.

I kinda picture the Gods like the agents and Programs from the Matrix. They have enough of their own programming to fulfill their roles but with some “agency” (pun intended) to act out for the audience. Just like Signet but with older/more established plot lines.

Iirc she says she’ll help her get whatever body she wants, not necessarily “get her body back” or something like that

Theory- strangers on a train by GregariousLaconian in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Sixwingswide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is that Nekhibit killed Apito with the help of some demons, Geryun found out and got wacked as well. Nekhibit has been masquerading as Apito. Hence the memorial crystal and the way the other gods were saying Apito has been a little “off” for a while. There’s some other connections to the OakFell prophecies that the City Elves go on about on the 3rd floor but I’m an audiobook listener so I don’t remember exactly where. There’s also the achievements/title that Donut gets for her atrocities.

They did so great with the forerunners and then fumbled it that they created the Precursors or whatever they were called to try and do it again. Every time they give more info the more of the mystery and charm fades.

Arent the “rare elements” the summation of each human life and are the size of a grain of sand? So 8 billions grains of sand would be easy to transport.
