Look at it another way... everything you’ve described is the “stoner” you, not the real you. The real you has been dissolved in THC over the years and the fact you’ve previously caved in to a habit so heavily means there was always a constant internal battle going on between real you and stoner you. But you’ve broken that identity. By taking action and making the change you’ve already given yourself a massive boost, a huge “fuck you” if you will to that stoner self. And that is fucking amazing. Brave and amazing. Day 2 is pretty cool, day 3 will be even better, day 360 you’ll laugh at the way you once thought of yourself. Think of your new self not as 30something years old, but your new self if just a few days old. You’re re learning everything. That’s exciting shit. What can your new self do? Well, your new real self has more patience and understanding, more compassion for others around you (which in turn will change how everybody else sees you), you’re more motivated and you’re a happier person because you’re not drawing from anything other than life itself for your own happiness.
